I don't get paid for writing these blogs, I do it cause I really love ML (celebrating 50 seasons in a few months!) and I think this place needs a news place. I write the reports all by myself and as a student it's really hard as I don't have a lot of free time.

I'd be glad if you show your appreciation by a donation of few credits (2 will do) here: Israel VFC

If many credits will be donated, I will hold a credit-free cup for the donators and my readers.

We have our finalists and surprsingly it's not between two former Champions!

Galacticos 2:1 Blest
The Australians leave it late as they came from behind to defeat one of most award-winning team in ML.
Belst were better at the first half and after few shots on target they broke the deadlock on 39 minutes thanks to Ragnar Lthbrok shot. Galacticos had a chance earlier to go ahead from a free kick but it was saved. The second half started with a good chance for the Norwegians to double their lead but Galacticos' keeper kept the score as it is. The Australians pushed forward and got the equaliser after great attacking display from The Motherload who left it to Clair De Lune to slot to the empty net. Both teams failed to create chances and it looked like the game is going to extra time but a horrible mistake by Blest keeper Emanuele Lepore during a corner in the last minute enabled Mr. Jack to head home the winner for the Australians. Wild celebrations for the Galacticos fans, their team made it to the final for the first time. Celebrations on the Australian island too for a second season in a row there's an Australian team in the Final. That doesn't happen every season.

"Blest have shown why they have been a very successful team by exhibiting their strength throughout the majority of the game, so to get a result by overturning a deficit is very pleasing" said a joyfull GrannyRobo. "I'm looking forward to my teams' first appearance in a Champions League final against a team that has done very well to get there themselves. Hopefully my bots can emerge victorious and get their hands on the cup. Very happy to be following Fatal Justice lead in shaking up the Champions League with Australian teams. Very keen to make it 3 titles in 4 seasons for Australia, even more so that me and Roscopp both originally come from the same town". Roggbif was a bit dissapointing: "Well, surprising and surprising but he have better Q than me. Not happy that I lost, especially when I had most chances and best performance. They had nothing, a corner, a free-kick and a solo run in 90miin, no chances from active play. However we weren't better, dissapointed in my midfielders, expected more from them. Bit surprised that he played 532 long ball for the first time this season. I see that as a victory for me. Most dissapointing is that a midfielder with 70Bc could dribble my defence and score in that attack, I don't know what I should say..". I asked him who does he think will win: "AKNEO have been impressing in the KO's but I think Galacticos will win. Good luck to both teams though..I will be in the VIP room with my ladies around me..".

MIC 1:4 AKNEO
The game was decided after 5 minutes. Csaba V
örös was controversially sent off after a brutal tackle on Luis Alberto Suarez. Lionel Andres Messi scored the lead for the Poles a bit later from a penalty, but MIC managed to equalised as Aiden McGeady capitalized on a loose ball in AKNEO's defence. Messi, Neguyen Hong Son and Neymar Jr scored in the secon half to bring AKNEO for a second ever final. MIS will have to wait for their second final.

"I won cause he got off in 5 minutes of the game. 11vs11 wouldv'e been different but now we can just guess. 13 seasons ago I had a better team and much more weaker opponents in every stage. But as Chairman says don't be blinded by Q..I hope to win the Final!" said HektorArte who was celebrating the win with his fans. "It wasn't my lucky day. Yesterday an early red helped me, today's one didn't and it was on a normal tackle. I prefer both games had been decided by tactics rather by reds." said a dissapointing petryk99.

East Yorkshire will try to defend their title on Thursday as they face surprising Nemesis.

TRIFYLLI 1:4 East Yorkshire FC
Despite great attacking display from the English the game was close untill the 62nd minute.
Nikica Jelavic scored at the first minute but the Greek could have equalised shortly after when they awarded a penalty but Dag Driver missed it. Petr Cech tried to keep his sheet clean against an unstopping pressure from E.Yorkshire Abel Hernandez got his team's second 10 minutes before half time. TRIFYLLI started the second half with a lot of pressure but it was Abel who almost tripled the lead. Zaki al-Ba'labakki finally converted the pressure into goal at the 61st minute but it was his team's only goal. A minute later Barry Grennan was sent off for the Greek after a second yellow for a foul inside the area. Jelavic converted the penalty and Robbie Brady added one to bring the English for a second final in a row. Impressive stuff.

"I have been surprised at how easy it has been in the last 3 rounds, blew my opponents away despite very small Q advantage! I think the final will be difficult but hopefully my team should have enough to retain the trophy. I am hoping to qualify for next season as well and, should I win this season, have the opportunity to win it 3 seasons running!" said hopeful Sarge. "The red card at the 62nd minute of the game when the match was still 2-1 was very crucial for the result along with the lost penalty at the 9th minute of the game. Really unlucky there.." said the losing manager tascuba. "My feeling is that the trophy won't change hands this season although it will be a tough game since Nemesis FC has very high teamstats at the moment" he added as he wished both managers good luck.

KA Barcelona 1:3 Nemesis FC
The Hungarians controlled the match untill the 38' minute but failed to really threat the goal. Then Kalman Kis was sent off, in a bit harsh decision, and Alexis Sanchez curled in a perfect free-kick from 27 metres. It was a one way traffic from here despite the equalising goal from Terry McDermott. However, the Romanian couldn't find the net and it looked like KAB might survive to extra time but Laurent Koscielny scored 6 minutes from time and Sanchez added a converted penalty to win the game for Nemesis. A first final for them.

"I told you I'll try win again!" said over joyed alin, "This game had two main players: Alexis Sanchez and Kis Kalman. My striker did magic and his defender got a red card and leaned the balance towards me. Against East Yorkshire it will be more difficult but I will try to win!". KAB's manager, Klucsesz, refused to comment about the game but he looked pissed off and said he hopes E.Yorkshire will win the Final.

http://www.managerleague.com/blog.pl?action=new

Big names dropped today as 3 former Champions were eliminated.

Match of the Round: Blest 3:0 Minted
Blest eliminated yet another English team by scoring 3 goals.
The English had an early chance to score when Mane Garrincha found the target after just 4 minutes but Emanuele Lepore was in place to kncok it to a corner. The Norwegians will get their first goal from their first chance exactly 15 minutes later as Ragner Lothbrok capitalized on a long ball and scored. Minted got a golden opportunity to equalise 4 minutes later when they got a controversial penalty but Marcus Rashford shot it to the stands. 1:0 at half-time. Blest doubled their lead early in the second half from the legs of Abdul-Shakur al-Nu'man who finished a great attack. The English couldn't get back to this one and Frank Bakkan wrapped it up at 77' after a huge mistake from keeper Victor Valdes.

Roggbif explained his team's success: "Even though Valdes is 4 stars it was a bit surprising that MInted chose an 18yr goalie in the QF of MLCL, maybe he knows he'll have a superstar in future seasons, I don't know..I think it was a little risky. Romours says that people is looking for Minted now..I think Rim Bob is having a special comfort for him..". And indeed Minted was not seen since the weekend. In the Semi-Finals Blest will meet surprising strong Australian side Galacticos: "They will be a tough one. Never played him so it will be interesting".

Other results:

Galacticos 3:2pso (2:2aet, 1:1FT) Giarra Djinns
A dramatic victory for the Australians in the first penalty shoot out of the season.
Empress Kaileena scored the lead for the English at the beginning of the second half and Anna Williams could have double the lead by scoring a penalty but she missed adn the Djinns were punished 2 minutes later with an equaliser from The Motherload. Keeper Parasyte kept them in game after saving a late penalty from Galacticos' The Thrill. Kaguya Ootsutsuki thought she scored the winner for the former Champs with a goal at the beginning of the second half of extra time but The Thrill equalised dramatically 3 minutes from time. With no winner after 5 penalties Dope Calypso and Ling Xiaoyu shot for their teams, the Australian converted for his team but the sub Northern-Irish dissapointed and the last English team in CL was eliminated before the Semi-Finals.
"Fair play to Galacticos, haven't have had the best 2 seasons against the Aussies. A bit surprised by how my midfield failed. I thought it was one of my strengths going into the match. Congrats to him on the win and hpefully he can go onto the finals." said Advent. The Giarra Djinns' added that he is aiming to win the CL in the next seasons.

Darkness Endures 0:3 MIC
The game was ended after 9 minutes when Lozano was sent off for a dangerous foul on Aiden McGeady who was forced to leave the field. The subtitue Calin Gullit replaced him well as he scored twice to book for the Romanians the SF ticket.

AKNEO 4:2 Munchen Carpet
No excuses here, despite a great fight and coming twice from behind the Welsh were outplayed. (And not a comment for the IsraelvsWales match :P )

Super Semi Finals await us as Blest who look to qaulify and win the final, meet surprsing Galacticos who want to qaulify for their first final and keept the trophy in Australia. In the other fixture we have an east European derby with Polish AKNEO, who won the cup at S.112, play against Romanian MIC who played in their last final almost 50 seasons ago!

East Yorkshie's back to back dream continues as they advanced to the Semis along with power house KA Barcelona.

Match of the Round: East Yorkshire FC 6:1 FC Inter Ardud
In a rematch of last seasons' QF, the Romanians tried to avenge and eliminate the holders.
Dejan Stankovic tried to set the tone after just 2 minutes but Eldin Jakupovic saved the English, the last English side in International competitions. However E.Yorkshire quickly took control of the game and went in front as Andrew Robertson scored from the corner spot. The Romanian defence struggled to handle the quick attacks from the English and a good performance from the keeper kept them at bay but they picked card on the way. This results in a red card for Javier Zanetti at the 36 minute. The English didn't find the net however for the rest of the half and Nikica Jelavic even missed a penalty. They did scored twice at the beginnig of the second half as Jelavic ammended his mistake and Abel Hernandez tripled the lead. Just after that goal Cristian Chivu also recieved a second yellow, leaving Inter Ardud with only 9 players. To, Huddlestone scored twice and subtitue Sone Aluko added one while Adriano scored a late consolation goal.

Rest of the Results:

Invisible Sun 1:3 TRIFYLLI
The Indonesians opted for a second KO success but the Greek came from behind as they try to win again like they did 3 seasons ago.

KA Barcelona 2:0 NaftaDon Bourgas
A brave performance from the Bulgarians but with it is hard to win playing 10 player most of the match.

Nemesis FC 1:0 Brad G Strikers
A surprising win for Nemesis but more a dissapointing lose for the Americans who controlled the match. In fact Nemesis didn't have a single shot on target and it was Tim Tebow's own goal who sent the Romanians to the Semis.
"It was pure luck. Brad has a better squad and he chose the right tactic. Semi-Final? I will try to win of course" said an extatic alin. The losing manager, bgilbert, said: "That was a very frustrating loss. I dominated the game, and it's very rare to lose a game when your opponent doesn't even get a shot on goal! I frequently go out in the knocouts rounds this way - either incredibly bad luck or penalties shootouts and it's getting old..".

The most interesing Semi Final is ahead of us as current holder E.Yorkshire face former Champions TRIFYLLI for a battle toe the end. Another East European derby over here as KA Barcelona face Nemsis FC. The Romanians will play for the first time against their ex-defender who now play for KAB.

No surprises in the CL Round of 16, at least on paper, as all Q favourties advanced to the Quarter Finals.

Match of the Round: Blest 3:1 LoD
Blest went early in front after King Leo scored a direct free-kick from 27 netres. The English tried to hit back but neither side made a chance for the rest of the first half. Blest doubled their lead 3 mintes into the second half thanks to LoD's Kaller T
ær own goal. The English were really in trouble and they made their first effort on goal about 10 minutes later but it was saved by keeper Emanuele Lepore. A minute later Arnold Claybrook finally broke the Norwegian defence and brought LoD back to the match. Unfortunatley, LoD's midfielder Harry Gerville picked a second yellow card 10 minutes later and Blest took control of the tie. Jamil Malek ended the story at 84' with Blest third. King Leo was awarded Man of the Match.

Other Round of 16 Results:

Darkness Endures 3:1 Manfredonia
VanHege scored twice and Coppens added one in a game where the Italian weren't really in it.

FC GPRO 0:1aet Munchen Carpet
After dull 90 minutes, subtitue John Toshack score the lead for the Welsh from the International league 3 minutes into extra time, and despite John Barnes was sent off with 8 minutes on the clock, Munchen Carpet held off to advance.

Minted FC 4:2 Indonesian Legends
Kevin Nisbet scored a hattrick in this celebration of goals. On the other side Lery scored twice from the penalty spot.

MIC 3:0 FC Vegan
The way of the brave Danes end here as they overplayed by the Romanians who opt to qualift to the final for the first time since S.77. James rodruigez were twice in target for the winners.

Giarra Djinns 3:0 LIBERTY FC
The scoreline does not reflet the match this time as it was much more closer and tougher on field. However a great performance from the Djinns' keeper, Parasyte, kept the Greek at bay. 3 different goal scorers for the winners.

AKNEO 5:2 High Society
A bad day at work for High Society's keeper Quickie as he let every shot in. 3 AKNEO players hit above 95 perofrmance in thi

Galacticos (Australia) 1:0 FC BOHD (Netherlands)
A tough match that was decided by a single goal. The motherload scored for the Australians on the 56th minutes and sent me to the QF.

The fixtures are getting tougher to predict as we step up to the top 8. However the most interesting is again involving Blest who face yet another English team Minted FC. Except that Minted is the team with best avg Q in ML, the English have won the Super Cup the same season Blest won the Champions League. Would Minted avenge LoD lose?

The rest of the QF fixtures is as follows:

Blest (Norway) - Minted FC (England)
Galacticos (Australia) - Giarra Djinns (England)
Darkness Endues (Belgium) - MIC (Romania)
AKNEO (Poland) - Munchen Carpet (International)

Surprise in the match of the round as former SC holders and one of the favourites were eliminated.

Match of the Round: Raus Finest 1:4aet (1:1FT) Invisible Sun
After a goalless half, the Indonesian took the lead right after the break with Toma Pemba's header after a mistake from Raus' keeper Tore Strand
. The Norwegian switched to attack mode and started putting more pressure on the Indonesian defence. They got the equaliser after 15 mintues thanks to Tristan Dijkstra strike. Both teams tried to force a winner but couldn't and the game went to extra time. Raus controlled the possesion but InvisibleMan scored from a quick attack to bring back the lead. The game ended right after the break as Raus' Morio Hirakawa was sent off for a second yellow after a foul inside the area. InvisibleMan converted the penalty and then scored again to complete his hattrick and win his side first ever win in the Knockouts. Invisible Sun's defender Sholako Sunday was awarded Man of the Match.

Other Round of 16 Results:

FC Inter Ardud 2:1 CHARLYALIKANTE
Javier Zanetti and Gernot Hofler's own goal sent the Romanians to the top 8 for the second season in a row. CHARLYALIKANTE are still looking for their first ever KO win.

AFC Dzhebel United 0:1 TRIFYLLI
A battle between a former CL Champion and a former SC Champion. It was almost elected as match of the round too. Dissapoitment in the end for the Bulgarian side as they must feel they played better. However in the end the only chance came from the Greek and Sone Aluko made sure it would count.

Las Leonas 2:4 Nemesis FC
Las Leonas are CL regulars and got the CL Finals many seasons ago, but they have a curse in SC and they never got past the Round of 16. This season was no different as 9 men Leonas were defeated. Alexis Sanchez scored a hattrick.

East Yorkshire FC 5:0 CheatAh
The defending Champions living the dream, and this dream is to win back to back. The English recorded their biggest KO win and another interesting stat: they are unbeatable in the International platform!

Sandmen (England) 1:2 NaftaDon Bourgas (Bulgaria)
A dramatic victory for the Bulgarians who trailed most of the match after Romelu Lukaku first half goal. But Henning Rahn and Radoslaw Bronowicki scored within 2 minutes in the final 8 minutes of the match to send their fans wildly celebrating. This is the first KO win for the Bulgarians who lost last season in this stage while the English unbeatable run has ended.

The Invincibles 0:2 KA Barcelona
Facing a team like KA Barcelona is always hard and exciting, and the Norwegians from the International League gave a nice fight but in the end the Hungarians were too good as they hope to win the last trophy they don't have.

Brad G Strikers 3:0 APACHE
A great win for the Americans, overwhelming the Greek.

Unlike the CL, the QF draw for the Super Cup got some matches with clear favourites on paper. One match that doesn't is East Yorkshire vs Inter Ardud. Except that both are among the strongest teams in the QF, the two met in this exact stage a season ago. Last season it ended with a 1:0 victory for the English. Will it finish different this season?

The rest of the QF fixtures is as follows:

KA Barcelona (Hungary) - NaftaDon Bourgas (Bulgaria)
Nemesis FC (Romania) - Brad G Strikers (USA)
Invisible Sun (Indonesia) - TRIFYLLI (Greece)
East Yorkshire FC (England) - FC Inter Ardud (Romania)

The Group Stage is over with some surprisng names founding themselves out of the Knouckout on Friday.

Above all, holders Fatal Justice got knocked out after finishing 3rd in Group 5. The Australians lost twice, including a surpsiring lose to 4th placed team Hentridge FC, as they finished 4pts behind the group winners Romanian MIC (Maria Ioana Campioana) and Greek LIBERTY FC. Their manager, Roscopp, commented: "My team's performance suffered significantly this season as a result of losing 30 team stats just before season change. No doubt the lower stats induce performance and discipline issues which flowed through the results. 2 player send-off's early on in both group matches I lost, cost dearly".

Another top club who found itself eliminated is Norwegian Massive Attack. It has been almost 50 seasons since the last and maybe only appearance of the Norwegians in the CL Knockouts and the fans thought that their strong team can make it but they were a point short of 2nd.

However, most favourites did qualify including 6 teams that have won the CL before and other 3 that made it to the Final.
One of them is Blest who made history 2 seasons ago when they became the first team ever to win the CL 4 times. Can they be also the first ever team to win 5 times? "I'm already historic so I play without pressure, I'm not the favourite either. I do see myself as 1 of 11 teams that can win MLCL this season" said Roggbif, Blest manager.

Another recent Champions are English Giarra Djinns and they will play LIBERTY FC. "Always a tough game against the Greeks. He has beaten me once in the CL and team stats are going down too. Should be a fairly even game and I'm hopin to come up in trumps" said Advent the manager. The Djinns made it to the CL final in the last two seasons but lost both. Can they win the CL for the third time? "Let's see if I can get to the finals again and then hopefully not lose out for the 3rd time".

The English league is very proud this season as all of its teams in both Champions League and Super Cup made it to the Knockouts! Very impressive! However, this season's CL Round of 16 features a high number of leagues represented. 16 teams from 14 different leagues will play on Friday noon for the top 8.

From all these teams, only one is a debutant to this stage. Humble Danish team FC Vegan impressed everyone in Group 6 and despite 2 loses, they finished 2nd and will play on Friday. I tried to interview FC Vegan's manager but he decided to comment about politics involving my origins. So I will use this platform to send my massage: This game doesn't involve politics and I don't represent my government. Please leave the politics and hatred outside of ML, thanks!

Every one of Friday's fixtures is a great one, but above all there is the Blest vs LoD (Lions of Darkness) tie. Both teams are big names, both have won the CL before, both managers are skilled and experienced. This could have been a Final match and DJ Blog will give you a full report of this match tomorrow.

Round of 16 Fixtures:

Blest (Norway) - LoD (England)
Darkness Endures (Belgium) - Manfredonia (Italy)
FC GPRO (Germany) - Munchen Carpet (International)
Minted FC (England) - Indonesian Legends (Indonesia)
MIC (Romania) - FC Vegan (Denmark)
Giarra Djinns (England) - LIBERTY FC (Greece)
AKNEO (Poland) - High Society (USA)
Galacticos (Australia) - FC BOHD* (Netherlands)

*FC BOHD - FC bal op het dak

Unlike the CL, the Super Cup Group Stage had only minor upsets. Australian FC Adelaide Crows and Swedish Verita et Aequitas were favourites to advance but they can blame the odd group draw of the system who put many strong teams in the same group. Most favourties made it to the KOs including American Brad G Strikers.

The strikers, past champions of the CL, are the only team this season in the Super Cup that won all of its games in the group stage and they weren't easy! Group 8 featured top names like KA Barcelona and Verita et Aequitas, and also experienced teams such as RKS Motor, Classic Ipswich, FC Knudde and Lygby BK. This is one of the reasons that the Americans are hot favourites to win the Super Cup.

It is rare to see a Super Cup winner that have won it before, and it is even more rare to see a team winning it back to back. That is something holders East Yorkshire FC will try to do. "Blest won it back to back S104 & 105 but it would be nice to win this season and it is my aim" said Sarge, East Yorkshires' manager, "Hopefully I will qualify for the CL but if I qualify for the SC and win it this season, I will aim to be the first to win it 3 times!".
About his opponent on Friday Sarge said: " I have never played them and they do look strong. However, Sandmen [another English side that made it through in the SC] beat them in the group stage so I feel quite confident that I should win the game but you can never know!". Sarge promised his fans that if they are to win on Friday, he will sign a new player to strengthen his midfield and improve the team's chances to win the Super Cup.

The Super Cup is a great platform for new top teams, who failed to qualify for the CL, to taste International competition. So this is no surprise that they feature a lot of debutatns in both Group Stages and KOs. However, one team have made it extraordinary this season. Sandmen from England, have never played in the SC or CL before and they won their group on their first season. Sandmen's manager, Major Tom, was excited when I talked to him: "I'm really happy about getting thorugh the Knockouts, it was my aim at the start of the season, so every SC game will be a bonus now and the windfall from ML for getting through. Even though, it was a nice surprise as I didn't expect that". About his rare achievment Tom said: "I play in the English League, which is tough and competitive and it was a great help for my International debut. It is a great opportunity to mix with other Leagues' managers.".
Tom praised his players: "My players are a mediocre, low budget bunch, but they have played out of their skins to get this far and I'm more than pleased with what they have achieved. I play every game to win and I will keep trying it every game". Tom commented about the critics about his club's poor league performance:
"My squad is small and doesn't have the depth of Quality I would like, so our position has tumbled to the Red Zone but the SC is my top Priority and whatever happens, I'd like to think I will return bigger, better and with more knowledge!"

Tough fixtures await us but the toughest one is between Raus Finest and Invisible Sun. The Norwegians have won the Super Cup a couple of seasons ago and are considered favourites, the Indonesians are CL regulars but never won a KO match. The clash between them could prove to be the most interesting on Friday.

Round of 16 Fixtures:

Raus Finest (Norway) - Invisible Sun (Indonesia)
FC Inter Ardud (Romania) - CHARLYALIKANTE (Spain)
AFC Dzhebel United (Bulgaria) - TRIFYLLI (Greece)
Las Leonas (Argentina) - Nemesis FC (Romania)
East Yorkshire FC (England) - CheatAh (Indonesia)
Sandmen (England) - NaftaDon Bourgas (Bulgaria)
The Invincibles (International) - KA Barcelona (Hungary)
Brad G Strikers (USA) - APACHE (Greece)

Hablas español?  Parlez-vous français?  Making the interviews for the Blog are pretty hard as not all of the managers speak English and I don't know as many languages so it would be great if representatives of each league will help me interview when needed!

The Champions League and Super Cup are already running so I will start the reports from the Knockout stage. Stay tuned!

New Feature - Flair or Flop?

The ML community was surprised by the news of the new trait for players - Ball Control. I went to ask some of the top managers what do they think:

Q: What do you think of this new feature?

A: "I'm almost completely pro-BC..the only opposition i've had against it that I rely a lot on flair and I do feel a bit sad that that is losing some of its potency" (ensatusafia, Vagabonds FC's manager. S.115 CL Champions)

"It's hard to say, no one knows" (Roggbif, Blest's manager. CL holders, 3 times chapions, 8 times finalists)

Q: How do you think it will affect the game?

A: "I'm convinced it will mean that individual players will be gaining more than before, which puts my already in danger record even more so. In the short term, I think High Society is right in that some offensive play will be a bit less sustained. Longer term I think that Q may go down a tiny bit, and that players will take maybe a bit longer to develop. It is a step towards a more textured/less Q inflated game, but honestly I don't think it will do much. If i go back to training youths, maybe they will be sold at 22-23 instead of 20-21. For the most part though it remains to be seen." (ensatusafia)

"How important will it be? Vital? Part of? It's hard to say, it's so unsure right now, probably know some more after some league games" (Roggbif)

Q: What do you have to say about the rumours about the value drop of players because of this new feature?

A: "To me, from this history, I think player values dropping are a good thing. The market often drove prices ridiculously high on some players at points in ML history, and despite selling "cheap," I was definitely amongst those that benefited greatly from this. I am not sure what others will think, but the way you phrased it at least makes me think people are worried about it.(ensatusafia)

"It's obvious that the Q will drop, but hey, Q isn't everything, maybe the best managers will be even better. I don't think the value will drop. Quality players are after all... quality players, and if you have players with amazing stats, the price will be high no mather what, it's not unrealistic that the players with very high ball control will raise in price...(Roggbif)

Q: About the CL: Which group do you think is the toughest? Who do you think is gonna win? How well your league teams will do this season?

A: "I took a glance a few days ago and noted in my department forums that upon a quick skim, group 1 looked like it might be the most formidable. I think the US has performed notably for several seasons now and were due a bit of a CL stumble. Now, with that said, I am picking Brad G Strikers to win because it seems like its only a matter of time before he finds a way to do it." (ensatusafia)

"Group A looks insane strong, happy to get out of that group alive. On the other hand, group 6 is some of the weakest CL groups in history. My favourite... Lions of Darkness. If you don't include last season, or my team, last time it was a Norwegian winner... was a Supercup win in season 100... I'm pretty sure the Norwegian won't follow up last seasons double(Roggbif)

ensatusafia added"I would love to see the north american gainer competition pick up. I think that would greatly start to strengthen both the American and Canadian leagues and create more of a competitive atmosphere and community outside of the two Divisions."

Match of the Round

Round 4: Indonesian Legends 0:1 Valhalla Warriors, MBOLANX Arena
A battle for a top place. A game between two very good teams ended with a minimal win for the Scots who will spend the weeked at second position.

The hosts were the first to find the target at 21 as Nabila shot free-kick from 21 metres was saved by the visitors keeper. Valhalla went into the lead 4 minutes from half-time during a corner when Sandra made a bad run to the ball and John Vanaheim scored with a perfect header.
The Legends had a golden opportunity to equalise at 70, Dian got around all of the opposition defence passed to Pevita but Heimdall saved to keep his team's lead. Heimdall was the hero again ten minutes later. Valhalla pressured to double the lead but were denied by Sandra but still won the game.

Man of the Match: Purgatori (Valhalla Warriors) - Rating: 91

"It should've been a draw. His goalkeeper made the difference" (Allesandro Agnelli, Legends' manager

"After being robbed by the free kick team stat in the round 1, this was a must win match for me and thankfully switching Nita out early in the game helped solidify the defence against a strong attack" (John V, Valhalla's manager)

Match of the Round

Round 3: BYM FC 1:0 Giarra Djinns, BYMs Stadium
The Vietnamese newbies recorded one of their best victories ever against 2 times Super-Cup and Champions League former Champions Giarra coached by famous Advent.

The match however, didn't live to the expectations. A few chances were made and we needed to wait 70 minutes for the first shot on target. BYM broke the deadlock 6 minutes from time thanks to a huge mistake by the Romanian keeper of the English, who failed to pick the ball out of the air and Arturo Coronado scored the winner.

Man of the Match: Harald Hegstad (BYM FC) - 1 Assist, Rating: 95

"" (BYMs, BYM FC's manager)

 Let the games begin!

Match of the Round

Round 1: Tôi Yêu SFVP 1:0 Beachlife, Rainbow Stadium
An interesting game between the S.91 SU holder and the S.109 CL holder ending with a minimal win for the Vietnamese but a lot of moral for the next rounds.

Beachlife started better with SpLaSh hitting the post after 5 minutes and later recieved a penalty which was missed by Hayley Williams. SFVP got back into the match but no goals were scored at ther first half.
The teams exchanged attacks in the second half but it was Nguyen Viet Nam who scored 5 minutes from time to give a win for the hosts.

"" (A T M, SFVP's manager)

"" (Beachlifeuk, Beachlife's manager)

Round 2: Sauda 0:3 KA Barcelona, Nye Sauda Stadion
Q was not a factor here as the experienced Hungarian manager taught his Norwegian companion a lesson of football (sorry my Canadian fellwos) as KAB won 0:3.

Edward Digby scored a brace after just 11 minutes to bring KAB a comfortable lead, Jordi Rios scored at 17 to make it a one-way road. Sauda couldv'e pulled one back as they recieved a penalty at 29 but Dennis Bergkamp shot it out of the stadium. On the other side Éric Cantona missed a golden opportunity to make a 4-goals lead.
From 3 minutes into the second half Sauda were playing in 10 men after Sol Cambell was sent off by second yellow. However, KAB were not trying to find the net and game finished 0:3.

"they had 3 chances and scored 3 goals.." (Deus87, Sauda's manager)

"This season I have more old players, and my sooperstar attackers are good. That can explain the good results or simply the simulator likes me this season" (Klucsesz, KAB's manager)

Notable Teams

BYM FC, the Vietnamese champions, are the 7th strongest team by avg Q. However, this is their first time in the CL and they made their first win yesterday winning 2:0 against Triple OGs.

PoolEver finished second last season in the Hungarian league and qualified for the first time to the CL. They were dissapointed when they saw their first is against the holders Dinamo Zaragoza but they pulled the biggest upset yet winning a historic 0:1.

Speaking of Dinamo Zaragoza, the holders lost both openning matches as they sit in the bottom of the group. I can't check it but it seems to me like the worst openning for a defending champions.

Still in Group B, and more patriotic, River City achieved their first point in the CL.

Another newcomer is Hentridge FC, the Dutch runner-up. They openned their Group C games with a nice win over Royal Arsenal FC 2:1 and sit second after winning the second round match too. The same we can say about Dorostol, the Bulgarian Champions.

Full list of newcomers: BYM FC (Vietnam), AZZURI-Valchedram (Bulgaria), PoolEver (Hungary), Hentridge FC (Netherlands), Bosphorus (Turkey), Dorostol (Bulgaria), Taffelstickers (Norway), Arslanlar FC (Turkey)

Ladies and Gentlemen we have our Finalists!

             Champion     0:2    Real Manager

+++++++++  +++++++++
+++++++++  +++++++++
+++++++++  +++++++++

Match Report: Real Manager wins its first SU title and brings the Romanian League a ML title after 6 seasons without one. This is the fourth SU title for a Romanian team.

Real went into the lead after 19 minutes after Vincent Kompany dribbled off the whole Australian defence, left the ball to Lionel Messi who put the ball into the net. Champion looked for an equaliser But Petr Čech was able to save Bill Davies shot. 0:1 at Half-time/

Real almost doubled the lead with the start of the second half but Martin Hamilton saved Messi's shot. At the 69 minute Davies had another good chance to equalise but Čech again saved it. The Australians were punished for that 3 minutes later as David Silva beautifly curled the ball from a 34 metres free-kick into the net and made it 0:2 for the Romanians. Minute 78 and Davies again was left alone against Čech but the great keeper was able to save again. That really frustrated the Australian who couldn't find the target. This sent the Real players into celebrating gestures.

Man of the Match:  Lionel Messi (FC Real Manager) - 1 goal, Rating: 91.

Comments: "Well done to FC Real Manager. We just couldn't get the goals on the board. It's a disappointing result for my team but we've had a fantastic season and happy to make it to the final" (Bullie, Champion FC's manager)

Ladies and Gentlemen we have a Winner!

  Zi Huha  2:3pso(0:0)  Beachlife

+++++++++  +++++++++
+++++++++
+++++++++
+++++++++  +++++++++

Match Report: It is official: The English League is the most successful league these days in ML! Beachlife secures in penalties the fourth CL title in a row for an English team .

Beachlife started stronger but didn't take the chances and Zi Huha got into the match. Both teams exchanged attacks but couldn't make a shot. The best chance came at the 37 minute with Mircea Pascovici cutting the English defence and making a shot on target but Charlotte Jackson pushed it to a corner. In the resulting corner (well at the third corner after the first two were cleared to another corner) Melo was taken down by Bridget Regan but Miu Lê missed the penalty. 0:0 at Halftime.

The second half was pretty eventless until the 77 minute as Radamel Falcao had a great shot but Jackson again saved the English. That's was the only chance in the half. 0:0 after 90 minutes.

Zi Huha continued the good performance and started the Extra Time better with Melo recieving a free-kick from Alvin Elliot but Jackson is in top form and saved Beachlife again. She was in place againt a minute later to stop Travis Dunlap who cut all of the English defence. She kept it 0:0 after 105 minutes.

Beachlife was not in the game except Jackson and she came to the rescue again at the 114 minute, saving Jaturon Temeeyavej's 30 metres free-kick. 0:0 after 120 minutes.

Penalties: Beachlife starts.
Rachel Riley scores 1:0, Radamel Falcao shoots wide! 1:0
Amora the Enchantress shoots to the corner 2:0!, Alvin Elliot hits the goalie! 2:0
Rachel McAdams shots wide! 2:0, Melo scores 2:1!
Amanda Peet scores 3:1! Tom Huddlestone shoots good but it hit the goalie and picked up! Beachlife is the winner!
Bane shot wide and Temeeyavej scored a consolation goal. But the Enlgish celebration have started a minute ago!

Man of the Match:  Charlotte Jackson (Beachlife) - Rating: 99.

Comments: "" (Đỗ Thị Hnh, Zi Huha's manager)

"It was a very tough Final like I knew it would be because his performances in the CL so far have been xcellent. I had a good idea how he was going to play and tried a few different things in the game but I had trouble breaking his solid defence down. Luckily for me my GK was amazing and I managed to win the penalty shoot out. Unlucky Zi Huha but congratulations for making it to the Final" (Beachlifeuk, Beachlife's manager)

In the League Cup they made it to the Semi Finals after an impressive win over More Beer FC. In the SU the Australians played in Group 2 and finished first with 19pts and not a single lose. They defeated Manfredonia and edged Tôi Yêu SFVP on penalties to make it to the Semis and eliminated Csengele on ET.

Real Manager have never won the league and their highest place was 3rd in S.104 and S.106. They do however won the League Cup once at S.106. The club made it to the Semis in S.107 but lost there and hope to qualify for a first final ever. Last season they finished 4th.

With the rebuilding of Black Pearl the race for the Romanian league Title was supposed to be tight, until surprising Dreambox Dragasani openned a 6pts lead over 2nd place Real Manager and it looks like their first title is secured. In the League Cup, Real Manager faced the CL participant Steaua1971 Dragasani and eliminated them to reach the Final Four. The Romanians were drawn to Group 4 and finished second, 1pt behind SFVP. They edged Ku Nhi and Krokeide in the KOs after a 90 minutes 7-goals thriller against the first, and 120 minutes 6-goal thriller against the second. Against AKNEO it wasn't a thriller but a win is a win and they made it to the Final.

Ladies and Gentlemen we have our Finalists!

   Csengele  2:3(aet) Champion

+++++++++  +++++++++
+++++++++  +++++++++
+++++++++
+++++++++

Match Report: The Hungarians were much better judging by performance and rating but to win you need to score goals and the Australians made much more scoring chances and hope to be the third Australian team who win the SU.

Csengele took control of the match right from the start and took the lead after 20 minute thanks to Mario Balotelli's header following a free-kick, but Champion equalised from nothing. Michael Essien delivered a corner into the net at the 28 minute to set the half-time results at 1:1.

The second half started with a lot of pressure from the Australians and they could've got infront at the 63 minute when they recieved a penalty kick. Sone Aluko shot well but the keeper made a nice save and kept the scored leveled. No time to rest though as Aluko and Alex Barre tested him twice in 5 minutes just to be denied. Gabriel continued his top form with a great long ball who ended after a fine pass at Cesar Romero feet and the later brought back the lead for the Hungarians. Champion were shocked of the sudden goal and couldn't reproduce the chances they made earlier but again like the first equaliser Essien scored from the corner flag and made it even 7 minutes from the 90 minutes mark. A

Really? 2 goals from a corner? What is happening with the simulator?

Encouraged by the late and surprising equaliser Champion started the Extra Time with a lot of pressure and went in front after 9 minutes thanks to Sone Aluko. He broke the off-side trap and finished it in. Herman Houben had a chance to equalise at the 108 minute but his direct free-kick from 25 metres was saved by the keeper and Aluko almost made it 2:4 with recreation of his earlier goal but Gabriel saved this one, not helping Csengele's cause though. Champion celebrate an interesting victory and look forward to the final

Man of the Match:  Sone Aluko (Champion FC) - 1 goal, Rating: 99.

Comments: "I am very disappointed because I never saw that the coner kicker score goals, moreover twice and my gk is 99 so it's foolish" (Gurdics, Csengele GG FC's manager)

"Credit to Csengele, they were the superior team in the first half by far. My team started off quite slow but good enough to stay in the gane. We were much better in the second half though. Some poor preformers were replaced with players off the bench and I think it decided the game in the end with the MoM award going to my striker who came on after 60 mins. Two goals direct from the corner were quite surprising and Gurdics probably has the right to feel hard done by, but we're happy to be in the Final and we'll go in with a lot of confidence" (Bullie, Champion FC's manager)

             AKNEO             Real Manager

+++++++++  +++++++++
+++++++++  +++++++++
+++++++++  +++++++++

Match Report: Real Manager down 10 men AKNEO though the Poles were better even with a player less.

The first chance was of the Romanian in the 8 minute but Raphaël Varane shot was saved. AKNEO had a bizarre afterwards as at the 23 minute Faton Hyseni shot a 34 metres free-kick to the crossbar. Then, Teo Zagorakis could've scored after a magnificent ball from Etienne Capoue but he shot wide. Then it was Real Manager's turn to attack and Lionel Messi almost made it after getting to David Alaba's long ball but Sucipto Jati kept them at bay. 0:0 at half-time.

11 minutes into the second half and AKNEO recieved the hit, a red card to Liam Cooper for the foul, Real Manager didn't wate time and Vincent Kompany score a direct free-kick from 25 metres. 3 minutes later Kompany cut the defence, passed to Rrobin van Persie and the later with a perfect shot madee it 2:0. One minute later AKNEO almost hit back but Farhad Asghari shot was saved by Petr Čech. AKNEO did pulled one out 5 minutes later with Etienne Capoue scoring with a header after a corner. Another 5 minutes passed and Wishmaster had 2 opportunities to equalise - the first was saved, the second went wide. From here on the Romanians focused on defence and the Poles couldn't make the difference and it ended 1:2 and celebrations in Romania.

Man of the Match:   Etienne Capoue (AKNEO) - 1 goal, Rating: 99.

Comments: "Red card made that game. Looking at my previous games against strong teams I should be happy that I did not recieve 2 or 3 red cards" (HektorArte ,AKNEO's manager)

"" (Alex22thebest, FC Real Manager's manager)

Ladies and Gentlemen we have our Finalists!

   Zi Huha       3:1   Ghostriders

+++++++++  +++++++++
+++++++++  +++++++++
+++++++++  +++++++++

Match Report: Zi Huha shock the Norwegian champion and probably the whole community of ML with an excellent victory and a plce in this season's Final.

The Viatnemese started strong and after just 1 minute went in front. Jaturon Temeeyavej's free-kick from 23 metres was barely saved by the keeper O.B.Rise who pushed it to a corner. But Reginiussen fouled Miu Lê inside the penalty area and Lê himself scored a perfect penalty. Just 6 minutes passed and Zi Huha double their lead as Zi 1 delivered a free-kick to Lê and the later scored with a perfect header. Ghostriders pulled one back tough a couple of minutes later after Dorsin took down by Mircea Pascovic and Neymar da Silva scored from the white dot. It didn't last long though as Zi Huha, again from a free-kick, scored the third at the 14 minute. It was Temeeyavej who curled in from 21 metres. 4 goals after 15 minutes - amazing! Ghostriders had another chance to hit back before half-time but missed the target - 3:1.

The second half started with a scoring chance for Mr Krokkert but he shot off target and then Dorsin tripped Melo inside the Norwegian box and Zi Huha recievec a second penalty. But Lê missed that one and missed the opportuninty to extend even further the gap.Ghostriders were controlling the field but couldn't get to a scoring chance mainly because of good defensive play by the Zi Huha. The final whistle sounds and it's Zi Huha fans who are in ecstasy.

Man of the Match:  Supermann Strand (Ghostriders) - Rating: 88.

Comments: "" (Đỗ Thị Hnh, Zi Huha's manager)

"Game over in a few minutes, isn't what I hoped for. But can't do anything else than congratulate and wish him luck in the Final" (Mr Krokkert, Ghostriders' manager)

Kavalacio     0:1      Beachlife

+++++++++  +++++++++
+++++++++  +++++++++
+++++++++  +++++++++

Match Report: Kavalacio couldn't end the English dominance and we have another final featuring an English team - the 7th out of the last 10 finals.

Kavalcio were with the first chance after 6 minutes with José Luis Miranda hitting the crossbar with a header and Someone clearing the rebound. It went even closer at the 18 minute as Giorgio Petrucci pulled an amazing save from Charlotte Jackson. Beachlife replied with a close chance as Someone hit the keeper with a header and Rachel Riley shot the rebound but the linesman decided she was off-side. Both team had a share of possession but none could convert it to a scoring chance. 0:0 at half-time.

All of the second half was a battle for the ball and not a single shot was made until the 89 minute: Amanda Peet passed the ball Rachel McAdams who doubtly broke the off-side trap and with a perfect shot downed the Greek and sent the English fans celebrating. Luis Salvador almost equalised in the 90 minute but Jackson saved it and completed the dramatic victory.

Man of the Match:  Alfio Suardi (Kavalacio FC) - Rating: 96.

Comments: "It was a difficult match as I expected. I was unlucky to have a shot to the crossbar in the first minutes and although I have stopped the attackers of the opposite team with caughting them offside I lost from a good attacker shot who broke my offside because of my tired defenders. I wish the best to Beachlife in the Final" (Bill the Italo, Kavalacio FC's manager)

"" (Beachlifeuk, Beachlife's manager)

In the league AKNEO is not in the race for the title as they sit 14pts behind the leaders BWD and most probably they will fight over their SU spot.  Just 3 Rounds to Go! Who Will make it to the Semis?

       Kings        0:2     Ghostriders

Match Report: Kings bow out dissapointed as they were eliminated by Ghostriders despite controlling the match.

The Kings started better with some good chances in the first half but their best was at the 39 minute when Snow White hit the crossbar and later Rat King Rational shot was saved by O.B.Rise. 0:0 at half-time.

Another good chance for the Australians came at the 58 minute as Rise was called to save Beowulf direct free-kick from 33 metres. Kings continued to control the match and almost went in front at the 79 minute but Attribute Fairy's header hit the post and went out. Against the gameplay, Ghostriders went in front 6 minutes from time: Neymar da Silva broke the off-side trap and shot in a shocking goal. Stunned from the late lead, the Kings conceded again 2 minutes later again by Neymar who scored from the corner and closed the match.

Man of the Match:  Neymar da Silva (Ghostriders) - 2 goals, Rating: 94

Comments: "Very disappointed to lose after dominating the match. But you have to score to win and we were unable to convert our chances. Well done Mr K." (Klaebs, Klabes' Kings manager)

"I wouldn't be surprised if Klaebs is very very dissapointed after this game. I felt that my team was outplayed all the way until the last 20 minutes. I managed to get some good substitues in the 60min who raised the performance in the team. Also an event at 75min seem to have changed the game of play and made me some good chances that got me the 2 goals. I'm very happy to be in the Semi-Finals no question about that. At last I want to thank Klaebs for the match, he's a very good manager that has achieved a lot since he began his ML career. I wish him good luck with the rest of the season and hope to see him in MLCL again next season" (Mr Krokkert, Ghostriders' manager)

Kavalacio      4:0         NEAB

Match Report: Fantastic performance by the Greek champions who cruised into the Semis.

The first chance came after 19 minutes. Luis Salvador delivered a free-kick to Adriano Romano and the later shot well but Rogerio Ceni was in place to save the Turks. The goal came however after 7 minutes by Daviti Murgulia who headed in Su Hongzhi's free-kick. 1:0 at half-time.

Hongzhi almost made it 2:0 at the 58 minute but his shot was saved by the keeper. 4 minutes later it was 2:0 thanks to Adriano Romano. Kavalacio recieved a gift at the 74 minute - a free-kick from 19 metres which Giorgio Petrucci curled in. 3 minutes later it was game over as Petryk scored the fourth with a header.

Man of the Match: Daviti Murgulia (Kavalacio FC) - 1 goal, Rating: 99

Comments: "It was a perfect game. 72avg performance in quarter finals was great. My wingers made a great work and my defenders didn't let the attackers of the other team to make a lot of shooting. Now it's 50-50 against the respectfull team of beachlife. We will see.." (Bill The Italo, Kavalacio's manager)

"My opponent was better than me and he won the game easily. I can say good luck to him for next rounds. We might make a re-match with next season" (NotBot, Not Exactly A Bot's manager)

  Beachlife      4:1     Connemara

Match Report: Easy as pie for the English who wants to continue the English dominance in the CL.

After just 2 minutes Beachlife almost scored with Amora the Enchantress avoiding the off-side trap and shooting on target but Tobias Styles pushed it to a corner who came to nothing. 6 minutes later he couldn't help however as a magnificent cross by Wreck It Ralph (excellent movie btw) reached Rachel Riley who scored with a header. Connemara replied with a lot of pressure but it was Riley who scored again at the 29 minute again with a header during a free-kick. The Irish almost hit back into the match before half-time as Thiago Alcántara threatened the keeper with a dangerous header but the keeper made a fantastic save. 2:0 at the break.

Connemara came to life at the 57 minute with Hafsteinn Ingisson scoring following a free-kick but Amora made it sure it wouldn't last as she took advantage of a poor defensive display to double the lead once more. A minute later Rachel McAdams almost made it 4:1 but her shot hit the crossbar. She did made it 4:1 however at the 70 minute from a quick counter-attack. Alcántara tried to minor the gap but his header hit the post. Connemara humiliation completed with the dismissal of Patrick Snelders by a 2nd yellow. 4:1 the final result.

Man of the Match: Rachel Riley (Beachlife) - 2 goals, Rating: 99

Comments: "Knew it would be a tricky game as he had already beat advent, so pleased to get through. I wish Kavalacio FC good luck in our next game" (Beachlifeuk, Beachlife's manager)

"Well that was exciting while it lasted. The scoreline could've been worse so I am glad that my players a long time to adjust to that and soon saw themselves 2-0 down. Ah well there's always next season. Wishing BeachlifeUK all the best in the Semis and Final" (csiremar, Connemara United's manager)

The Irish just tried to jynx the English if you hadn't noticed ;)

   Zi Huha       1:0         BWD

Match Report: A close match but at the end Zi Huha comes on top and make it to the Semis.

The first and only goal was scored after 10 minutes. Melo delivered a free-kick to Miu Lê and the later scored. From there it was rather boring with a lack of chances and not a single shot on target.

Man of the Match: Melo (Zi Huha) - 1 assist, Rating: 88

The Knockout is On! Who Will survive?

 BWD         1:0        Levski

Match Report: BWD started better as Ilija Topličanin's shot hit the crossbar after 10 minutes. Levski replied with a dangerous corner two minutes later but Krag Hack's shot was saved by Gianluigi Aretino. At the 27 minute another great chance for BWD with Nguyn Tri Đội breaking the off-side trap but the crossbar came to the aid of the Bulgarians once again. Levski again replied with a dangerous stationay position, but Perttu Haatainen's free-kick was saved by Aertino. 0:0 at Half-Time.

The second half was rather slow and both team fought for possession but 6 minutes from time BWD finally made the break through: Jimmy Carter delivered a free-kick to Jerry Young who wans't covered good enough by Senad Bajević, and sent the Poles Fans celebrating.

Man of the Match: Jimmy Carter (BWD) - 1 assist, Rating: 85

Comments: "It was a good match for both team, I think Levski was a little better but simulator chose me as a winner" (Mateusz Jankowski, Black and White Dreamers' manager)

"First of all I want to congratulate Mateusz Jankowski on the win and wish him good luck. About the match, I struggled once again, in this season MLCL campaign been only with 2 attackers in my squad. For the 3rd time in 8 matches I missed to score and was punished for that. None of my attackers had a good performance and I didn't substitute. BWD starting attackers also didn't have a good day, but his attacker who came from the bench decided the game. So my primal task is to fine one more stricker and try again next season" (Zlostar1111, Levski Bulgaria's manager)

Beachlife       3:1       Cruzados

Match Report: After a slow start Beachlife made its first chance at the 20 minute during Airkraft free-kick. Bridget Regan recived it and crossed to Bodie but its header was saved by the keeper. At the 27 minute Kamen Zhelyazkov was sent off for a second ugly challenge, recieved a yellow just ten minutes earlier. The Swedes are down to ten men, and Beachlife took immediate advantage of it as Rachel McAdams scored Amanda Peet's free-kcik with a good header. 1:0 to the English at Half-Time.

The former champions started the second half well with Felisberto Nunes sneaking into the area but his shot was nicely saved by the keeper. Ten minutes later, Alexandru Chipciu almost equalised as he showed amazing dribbling skills and got past all of the English defence but Charlotte Jackson made a save once again. Beachlife pressued and looked for the second and Rachel Riley doubled the lead at the 76 minute. It was game ove 4 minute from time as Nunes scored an own goal and made it 3:0 for the winners. He fixed it a bit with an amazing goal from a 34 metres free-kick and almost scoring a second  moments before the final whistle.

Man of the Match: Alexandru Chipciu (Cruzados) - Rating: 99

Comments: "I was pretty rubbish that game but hopefully I will be better for the next game" (Beachlifeuk, Beachlife's manager)

"Well, it's pretty obvious that someone paid my Bulgarian defender to embarrass himself. Two yellow cards before the first third of the match is a bit suspicious. But otherwise my team played ok and to be honest we created nore chances, so I'm sure we would have advanced if the match was played 11 vs 11. And of course I want to congratulate Beachlife and wish them fuurther luck in their QF match" (elajo, Los Cruzados' manager)

Kavalacio     3:0       Hotspurs

Match Report: The match opened with an early goal for the Greek after a nasty tackle by Juan Castro who awarded him a yellow card. Asis Nasseri delivered the free-kick to Petryk who was left alone and didn't make any mistakes and put Kavalacio into the lead. Hotspurs replied with a good corner that was saved by the keeper but it was Kavalacio who doubled their lead at the 10 minute with a great header by Kateb al-Barbari following José Luis Miranda's corner. Both team had another shot on target before half-time but in both cases the keepers made the save. Half-Time: 2:0 Kavalacio.

The second half almost started like the first as Kavalacio looked for third but the keeper was able to handle it but could not prevent them again two minutes later with Petryk scoring his second with a header after Giorgio Petrucci's corner. From now on, Kavalacio focused on defending their comfortable lead and Hotspurs didn't manage to make a single chance in the second half.

Man of the Match: Giorgio Petrucci (Kavalacio) - 1 assist, Rating: 95

Comments: "I think it was an easy win because the other team had a gk with only 96GK. My attackers have 98SH so without a red card for me the match was 80% win for me and 20% for hotspurs" (Bill The Italo, Kavalacio's manager)

"My players let me down and put a slack performance in. I was expecting to edge that game but instead I'm left with a team that's nearly fully fit because nobody put a shift in. I wish everyone good luck in the next round" (Spudgreg, Hotspurs FC's manager)

    Ghostriders   4:0          K.A.B

Match Report: There were high expectations for this match who was believed the match of the round. Ghostriders went early on front with Mr Krokkert (the player not the manager) scored after just 10 minutes. The Norwegians continued to control the match and were close twice to double the lead but KAB's keeper made sure it will stay 1:0. He finally surrendered 10 minutes from half-time as Neymar da Silva doubled the lead with a header. 2:0 to Ghostriders at half-time.

KAB didn't return from the break as they wanted and went further behind after Mr Krokkert struck beautifuly into the net at the 54 minute. There was only one team on the field as Ghostriders only attacked, with Dag Gjestad pulling some saves and trying to prevent further humiliation. But even he can not stang against Mr Krokkert want for a hattrick and he completed it with 3 minutes to spare. 4:0 the final result - great performance by the Norwegians, equals to their biggest win ever in the CL Knockout Stage.

Man of the Match: Mr Krokkert (Ghostriders) - 3 goals, Rating: 99

Comments: "I can't put away that I was very surprised when I followed the match. To beat Klucsesz's tema KA Barcelona this much was a bit over the top of my expectations for this match, so I'm very delifhted of the result. Because of struggling in the league in the past matches with players preforming like amateurs and nothing suddenly working. Probably most due to heavily loss in teamstats last season and continuing this season with -18 I had to do something about my formation and events. Luckily it worked well against his formation and my entire team was yet againt top notch" (Mr Krokkert, Ghostriders' manager)

"no shots, and the game didn't go in our direction at all. Tactic didn't have any role! Sey normal mixed and hoped to get lucky. Usually if one team playing normal mixed wins continental and longball. But continental downed mixed ball and longball. But see my league matches I played normal mixed I didn't win with continental attacking. Used to be a good game becuase if I set good strategy could win. It is good for those who are not engaged in the game" (Klucsesz, KA Barcelona's manager)

(I hope I wrote that ok cause I hardly understood what was he trying to say)

    Giarra         1:4    Connemara

Match Report: After a goalless and almost chanceless half the Irish surprised and took the lead with a quick counter-attack and Ronal Kuheil's name is written on that goal. Connemara lead for just one minute but then Wojciech Malysz crashed into Obito Uchiha inside the penalty ared and Tobirama Senju equalised for Giarra. The Irish almost took the lead immediately but the attack ended in the hand of the keeper. Giarra wasted a golden opportunity at the 63 minute when Naruto Uzumaki shot directly on the keeper and the Irish punished them moments later. At the same minute Connemara went into a counter attack and got a corner delivered by Patrick Snelders, Dahaka made a bad run to the ball and Malysz ammended his mistake from the equaliser penalty with a leading goal. Giarra's defence broke down once again only 2 minutes later as Hafsteinn Ingisson avoided the off-side trap and with a header made it 1:3. Dahaka completed  his bad performance with conceding another one at th 70 minute, this time by Snelders right from the corner-flag. The Irish dream continues.

Man of the Match: Wojciech Malysz (Connemara United) - 1 goal, Rating: 97

Comments: "Well I quickly skim through the match sim so I can see the results quicker, When I saw 4-1 I thought I must have had a red card. But no, it seems that after 60 mins. my defence decided to pack bags and go home. The keeper made two critical mistakes. One allowing a goal in from a corner, second unable to deal with the ball from the corner. My team was outplayed in all departments. I though I would have had a bit more in the midfield but that wasn't the case. Well done to Connemara and good luck to him in the rest of the competition" (Advent, Giarra Djinns' manager)

  Sauda        2:3        Zi Huha

Match Report: Deus87 must be furious with his keeper as the Norwegians cup-holders were eliminated despite playing slightly better.

The Vietnamese went in front after 1 minute of play as Jaturon Temeeyavej scored a free-kick from 29 metres. Sauda were sunned and went two behind 10 minutes later after Zi 1 scored a perfect header into the net. The Norwegians got back to the match however at the 23 minute with Fredrik Ljungberg pulling one down. Sauda had several chances to equalise afterwards but missed all of them and were punished as Travus Dynlap made it again a 2 goal lead just beofre half-time.

Neither team pushed forward in the second half but Sauda made sure it won't be an easy win for Zi Huha with Dennis Bergkamp making it only 2:3 with a header 5 minutes from time. Zi Huha didn't let them score another one and ended victorious.

Man of the Match: Fredrik Ljungberg (Sauda) - 1 goal, Rating: 92

Comments: "He had 3 chances and 3 goals. Only in ML, there's a season where every second game my keeper let all the shots go in" (Deau87, Sauda's manager)

Koszule       0:1         NEAB

Match Report: Koszule frustrate as they unluckily lost a game that was in their control.

After 34 minutes of useless play the Turks almost took the lead with Alexander Søderlund breaking the off-side trap just to see his shot being saved by Judge Dredd. NEAB continued to control and a dangerous header by Chau-Üi-Në was saved by the keeper. 0:0 at Half-Time.

The first 10 minutes were all NEAB and they recieved a penalty after Søderlund was held by Sebastian Sutiono inside the area but Karim Benzema shot it to the sky. Koszule awakened and had two quick attacks which resulted in saves by the keeper. NEAB finally broke the deadlock at the 76 minute from the legs of Karim Benzema. Redman almost equalised two minutes later but Rogerio Ceni was in place to prevent it. A surprising victory for the Turks eliminating the former Champions.

Man of the Match: Velibor Lazarević (CzarneKoszule) - Rating: 99

Comments: "It's a decent game as it was in the middle. I am the lucky one again. Well, I can say that luck is on my side this season but we'll see in next match" (NotBot, Not Exactly A Bot's manager)

Steaua         1:2         Kings

Match Report: Close match but the Australians showed great character coming from behind to win and advance.

Steaua had the first chance after 3 minutes following a free-kick but Cesc Fabregas' shot went into the hands of the keeper. No more chances were made in that rather boring half, 0:0.

The Romanians went into the lead with Olivier Giroud scoring with a perfect header but couldn't keep the lead. 5 minutes later Dobby took control of Achmad Jufrianto lose ball and equalised. Both teams struggled to create chances and it looked like the match is going to overtime but then 2 minutes from time Rat King Rational was thwarted inside the penalty area by Cao Ngoc Nghi and Rat King himself scored the resulting penalty and sent the Kings into the QFs.

Man of the Match: Prepelita Andrei (Steaua1971 Dragasani) - 1 assist, Rating: 96

Comments: "It was a very close match. In the end the penalty was taken by the King's worst penalty taker, so I was pleased when it wen it" (Klaebs, Klaebs' Kings manager)

MLCL Group Stage - Review (01/01/2014 16:20)

Welcome 2014! Happy New Year to All!

The Group Stage is over with a little drama and a lof of sadness to us in the Canadian League:

Group A:

BWD and Los Cruzados have alreday secured their places in the Round of 16 yesterday so today was all about the placement. BWD kept their 1st place after a big win over Halifax who finished in an impressive 4th place. Cruzados wiped off Baia Mare with a 3:0 but stil finished 2nd. This is the first time ever that the BWD made it to KOs.

"My group wasn't very hard, I had only one match with Los Cruzados, which I wasn't sure. My next opponent Levski has a great team, he also won the Super Cup last season so for 100% he is favourite of this match, but I will try to make a surprise and eliminate him." (Mateusz Jankowski, Black and White Dreamers' manager)

"Well, first when I watched the draw I thought that it would be a tough race between four teams. But then Comtek and Phoenix Baia Mare lost a lot of points early in the groups stage and it was obvious that my team and Black and White Dreamers would advance.
For me it doesn't matter which team I get in the KO stage, since almost all team now have similar Q and team stats higher than me. Unfortunately my team have lost some important team stats the past days, but hopefuly we can give Beachlife a tough match. A big confusing to face a team with that name when you travel to England, but he's in the top of one of the toughest league so I guess he's doing something right. I will do my best to break the English dominance and I remember very well the last time a team from another country won.." (elajo, Los Cruzados' manager)

Final Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 BWD 19 16
(=) 2 Los Cruzados 17 15
(+) 3 Parma 11 6
(-) 4 Halifax 10 -3
(=) 5 Baia Mare 8 0
(=) 6 Las Leonas 7 -4
(=) 7 Red Warriors 3 -14
(=) 8 Comtek 2 -16

Group B:

Beachlife secured a KO berth yesterday and today they secured top place after a win over bottom side P1cass0. Brescia neeed to win and they defeated TELC 0:6, but they also needed help from Craiova. However the Americans lost to Levski who advanced from 2nd place.

"" (Beachlifeuk, Beachlife's manager)

"" (Zlostar1111, Levski Bugaria's manager)

Final Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Beachlife 18 11
(=) 2 Levski 16 10
(=) 3 Brescia 14 15
(=) 4 Craiova 10 7
(=) 5 TELC 8 -8
(+) 6 All Spurs 7 -7
(-) 7 Royal 6 -9
(=) 8 P1cass0 1 -19

Group C:

KA Barcelona squeezed through and they have to thank both Kavalacio and Timberwolves for that. Timberwolves were held to a dramatic draw yesterday against Rene1293 and today they were defeated by the Greeke to finish 3rd. A great results for the Canadaian Champs. but dissapointing as they needed just 2 points from their last 2 games to advance. Kavalacio finished 1st without a single lose and made it to the Round of 16 for the first time, with Barcelona 2nd.

"" (Bill The Italo, Kavalacio FC's manager)

"It was more difficult to fight for advance as it wasn't only up to me! Now my destiny is in my hands. We got the hardest possible opponent. But my team is not weak. I think the Norwegian was not happy for getiing my team either" (Klucsesz, KA Barcelona's manager)

Final Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Kavalacio 19 22
(+) 2 Barcelona 16 12
(-) 3 Timberwolves 16 5
(=) 4 Busby 9 -2
(+) 5 Rene1293 7 -1
(-) 6 Zaragoza 6 -5
(+) 7 Aslansaray 6 -16
(-) 8 NanGo 3 -15

Group D:

Ghostriders, who made it yesterday to the Round of 16, booked the fixture against Barcelona after a comfortable win against Royal Arsenal. Hotspurs needed only a draw against GPRO to advance and that's exactly what they got. This is the first time Hotspurs made it through.

"It became a close raceto advance to the KO stage but made it and very happy about that. It should not been so close, but lost against Future Ghosts because of resting some players, which was a mistake. My team isn't preforming so good this season as the last due to a loss of a lot of teamstats, so it will be a hell of a fight against KA Barcelona. Hopefuly I can find some good tactics to counter for that and win against klucsesz and reach the QF" (Mr Krokkert, Ghostriders' manager)

"After losing to Ghostriders I was worried and knew I couldn't afford to lose another game. Luckily enough I won the next 5 games and got myself in a good position. The knockouts shouuld be interesting and I'm sure nobody will be a pushover" (Spudgreg, Hotspurs FC's manager)

Final Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Ghostriders 18 16
(=) 2 Hotspurs 16 14
(=) 3 GPRO 14 6
(+) 4 Future Ghosts 13 13
(-) 5 Royal Arsenal 12 8
(=) 6 Krazy Kickers 4 -9
(+) 7 Boom 3 -19
(-) 8 Desportos 1 -29

Group E:

Giarra, who were surly through, needed just one point to secure 1st place but they got all 3 against Gr8 Angelz. Zi Huha's players held their nerves and outclassed Lyngby all the way to the Round of 16 and they seek a first win in the knockouts. Amethyst defeated More Beer but it was not enough.

"Finally through after a year absence from the knock outs. For the final game I was pondering which team to put out as I had a tough league game coming up next and didn't want to lose morale. In the end decided to field a relatively strong team that would would try and get me a result. Luckily Gr8 Angelz fielded a weaker team so was an easy win in the end. Will be taking 1 game at a time and looking to try and win the competition" (Advent, Giarra Djinns' manager)

"" (Đỗ Thị HnhZi Huah's manager)

Final Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Giarra 19 28
(=) 2 Zi Huha 16 16
(+) 3 Amethyst 15 12
(-) 4 More Beer 12 15
(=) 5 Gr8 Angelz 10 1
(=) 6 Grobari 6 -9
(=) 7 Sergipe 3 -19
(=) 8 Lyngby 0 -47

Group F:

No surprised at all. Sauda finished 1st and Connemara 2nd. This is the first time in the Round of 16 for both teams.

"I was surprised that it went throught so easly, but when Black Pearl and Antartis didn't send their best out there I was pretty confident that I most likely to finish at top 2. Zi Huha will be a good and close match, hopefuly I can beat him and on to the next round, but my team haven't preformed as I would have hoped for this season so it's gonna be close" (Deus87, Sauda's manager)

"I have admired advent for many seasons and his league form for the past 20 or so seasons shows how strong and great manager he is. This will be a very difficult match for me. We have met three times in the past, lost in all formal matches but won one player cup match though. His team is young and is very strong especially around the midfield area. I just hope that is a tight entertaining match and that my team will not be booed off the pitch" (csiremar, Connemara United's manager)

"" (my1900, CzarneKoszule's manager)

"Group Stage was decent as there were good teams. However, half of them didn't care the CL & played with second teams. Well, it's good reaching KO stage. My goal is doing as much as I can do. If I am very lucky, I might win the CL" (NotBot, Not Exactly A Bot's manager)

After an intense first round, the second round gives us more exitement (updates will be wriiten in gold):

Group A:
Los Cruzados - The Red Warriors 6:2
Comtek - Las Leonas 1:1
Parna AC - Black and White Dreamer 1:2
Halifax City - Phoenix Baia Mare
1:0

The Game: Parma vs BWD, Ennio Taridi
BWD could make a seirous step into the next stage if they win in Serbia, Parma on the other hand have already pulled a surprise with a draw against Cruzados and hope to do even better against the Poles.
A close match but BWD win again while Parma gets the compliments. Teo Tudorach scored the lead for the Poles after 18 minutes curving beautifuly a free-kick from 24 metres and Nguyn Tri Đội could have doubled the lead at the 33 minute when BWD recieved a penalty but he missed it. BWD continued to be the better team in the second half but then Parma equalised almost out of nothin as Optimus Prime shot a perfect shot into the net. Neither team made a chance until the 82 minute when Jerry Young, with a good header, subdued Parma keeper and secured the win. Despite the lose, RZA of Parma won the MoM award.

"Good game, stronger than my team but he scored at 82 minute for victory. he was luck" (GraveDigga, Parma AC's manager)

Other Matches: Las Leonas were held to a draw against Comtek and are 3 points behind Cruzados who easily defeated Red Warriors. Halifax ended Baia Mare's hopes with a well earned win.

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 BWD 12 10
(=) 2 Los Cruzados 10 10
(=) 3 Las Leonas 7 3
(+) 4 Halifax 6 -1
(-) 5 Parma 5 4
(=) 6 Baia Mare 2 -5
(+) 7 Comtek 1 -10
(-) 8 Red Warriors 1 -11

Group B:
All Spurs - P1cass0 3:1
Beachlife - The Evil Looking Clowns 2:0
FC Brescia - Levski Bulgaria 0:0
Craiova-Maxima - Royal FC
1:3

The Game: Brescia vs Levski, Stadio do Dragao
With beachlife looks unstoppable, both teams want to extend their lead on the chasing pack. After losing points on round 2, and tough fixturs ahead, Brescia needs a win here.
A game with only 1 shot on target, that's what these teams gave us today. Brescia was a little and can be dissapointed with the loss of 2 important points. 2 Brescia players hit 99 though, one of them Dario Bissoli awarded MoM. Brescia remains second though but they still have some tough fixtures ahead.

"A good result against a very good team. Too bad we have not taken advantage of the unique opportunity of the match" (Sir Alberto, FC Brescia's manager)

"Boring draw. I could make a big step to 1/8, but I missed this great chance" (Zlostar1111, Levski Bulgaria's manager)

Other matches: Beachlife remain perfect and now are 4 points ahead of second place Brescia. Royal cut the gap from second to 2 after a nice win away against Craiova who suffered their first lose.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Beachlife 12 9
(=) 2 Brescia 8 8
(=) 3 Levski 7 3
(+) 4 Royal 6 -1
(-) 5 Craiova 4 1
(+) 6 All Spurs 4 -5
(-) 7 TELC 2 -5
(=) 8 P1cass0 1 -10

Group C:
The Busby Babes - PS-NanGo 2:0
KA Barcelona - Northcountry Timberwolves 1:2
Kavalacio FC - Aslansaray 5:0
Dinamo Zaragoza - Rene1293
3:0

The Game: Barcelona vs Timberwolves, KA Barcelona's stadium
The Canadian Champions face their toughest fixture. For season they tried to put their impact on the CL and they know that if they can get a point in this match they can advance to the next stage.
Amazing win by the Canadians, Barcelona is shocked! Timberwovles started stronger with a goal by Karim Deschamps after 19 minutes. Timberwolves continued to press but Barcelona equalised from their sole attack - Myung-Bo Yuen was the goalscorer. Timberwolves kept on attacking but Barcelona keeper, Dag Gjestad, kept the scores leveled at  half time. It was Barcelona who started better the second half but they were denied by Timberwolves' keeper Pat Jennings. The match has been decided at the 78 minute when the equaliser Yuen scored an own goal and sent the Canadians to celebrate a historic win. Dixies Shiels won the MoM award. Timberwolves will go into the weekend witha good morale and high hopes of a first ever Round of 17 berth.

"Crikey, how did that happen? Lady Luck is still helping me with an own goal, but the Canadian League is getting itself slowly but surely on the map (they are some of the best tacticians and nicest guys anywhere). Three more tough games to go though" (Flirtybee, Northcountry Timberwolves' manager)

Other mathces: Kavalacio didn't make any mistakes against aslansaray and kept on first place.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Kavalacio 12 15
(+) 2 Timberwolves 12 7
(-) 3 Barcelona 9 9
(+) 4 Busby 6 -1
(+) 5 Zaragoza 3 -2
(-) 6 Rene1293 3 -3
(-) 7 NanGo 3 -7
(=) 8 Aslansaray 0 -18

Group D:
FC Boom - Ghostriders 0:2
Royal Arsenal FC - Hotspurs FC 1:2
FC GPRO - FC Future Ghosts 4:4
Krzay Kickers - A Portuguesa de Desportos
0:0

The Game: Royal Arsenal vs Hotspurs, Emirates Stadium
Hotspurs hope to continue their momentum against yet undefeated Royal Arsenal. After enjoying easy fixtures the Indians face their first challenge of the campaign.
Hotspurs denied Royal Arsenal to get their campaing on the right track. Hotspurs started stronger and was rewardedon the 13 minute as Tobias Carter scored with a nice header. Instead of pursuing another goal, both teams slowed their game until the 56 minute when Carter doubled the score. The hosts came alive after that and headed back to the match 3 minutes later with James Wake scoring with a header to give some hope. Both defences held on and the match was closed 7 minutes from time when Gedion Zelalem of Royal Arsenal was dismissed with a second yellow. Tobias Carter awarded MoM. This was the hosts' first lose, but they remain secod entering the weekend.

"I knew they were a superior side than mine, so I tried doing some tactical changes which nearly paid off. The red card didn't help my cause but my team gave a good fight and maintained their hold on the 2nd spot despite the lose. Overall the team performance were the same. So am happy that we are holding up against the big boys! The next two games will be very important as winning them will go a long way to help me keep in the running. The last match though will be decider and it will be against the best team in our group right now" (Haidermota PLC, Royal Arsenal FC's manager)

"I knew that match would almost decide wether I was going through or going out so I studies his tactics and realised he hasn't changed then once this season which made the game a bit more comfortable than I expected" (Spudgreg, Hotspurs FC's manager)

Other matches: Ghostriders extended their lead to 3 points after an easy win in Belgium. GPRO drew Future Ghosts in a crazy 8 goals rally, and dropped to fourth.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Ghostriders 12 13
(=) 2 Royal Arsenal 9 6
(+) 3 Hotspurs 9 4
(-) 4 GPRO 7 3
(=) 5 Future Ghosts 4 3
(=) 6 Krazy Kickers 4 0
(+) 7 Desportos 1 -18
(-) 8 Boom 0 -11

Group E:
Grobari 1970 - More Beer FC 0:5
Lyngby BK - Club Sportivo Sergipe 0:1
Gr8 Angelz - Zi Huha 2:5
Amethyst - Giarra Djinns
1:2

The Game: Amethyst vs Giarra, KLC Stadium
Battle for first place. Though it's only halfway it can make a gret impact on the outcome of the group. Amethyst is having a dream of a season in CL so far and after 3 round is the only perfect team in Group E. Giarra on the other hand is better on Quality so it's only tactics to decide the winner here.
Giarra beats Amethys and move into second place, behind More Beer only on GD. There was no question which team was better in the first half and Giarra were 0:2 ahead thanks to Arturia Penfragon header at the 16 minute and Ulquiorra Cifer second 8 minutes later. Amethys did hit back though at the 61 minute thanks to Ramon Augenthaler dribbling skills. He cut the defence and left the ball to Yosyp Boyko who had no problems scoring. But the hosts never threatened the English lead and the second yellow card that Steinar Larsson got 5 minutes from time didn't help either. Pendragon and Cifer both hit 99 but the earlier won the MoM award.

"Obviously it is a disappointing result. We did not play well. Luckily there are still three games left. We know that if we win the next game, we will have good chance" (Zhong, Amethyst's manager)

Other matches: More Beer outclassed Grobari to stay undefeated and move to first place before the weekend. A second lose to Gr8 Angelz, a defeat actually to Zi Huha. This had probably ended the Norwegians campaing while we didn't hear the last word from the Vietnamese. 4 teams are just null or one point within each other.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(+) 1 More Beer 10 18
(=) 2 Giarra 10 14
(-) 3 Amethyst 9 11
(=) 4 Zi Huha 9 9
(=) 5 Gr8 Angelz 6 0
(+) 6 Sergipe 3 -12
(-) 7 Grobari 0 -12
(=) 8 Lyngby 0 -28

Group F:  (Sorry about the mistake in the matches earlier)
Black Pearl - Imparaveis FC 2:0
Connemara United - Antartis 4:0
Kamu FC - Sauda 1:4
ITB - Avengerts FC
3:0

The Game: Kamu vs Sauda, Die Fabrik
The last chance for the Germans. If they want to advance they have to deafeat the Norwegians who were deadly so far in the attack. A win for Sauda and they most probably in the Round of 16.
Well It is almost sure now that Connemara and Sauda will advance as they have deafeated their toughest opponents. Sauda lost Ian Wright to an injury right after 11 minutes and Theo Walcott came off the bench to replace him. It didn't matter though as Dennis Bergkamp gave the Norwegians the lead after a one-sided half. The second half was more of the same as Bergkamp scored another one and Walcott scored a brace after Leonard Buga tried to get Kamu back to the match. Mesut Özil who assisted 2, won the MoM award.

"Manager Kamu has been temporarily suspended because of oversleeping the CL-match. The training squad couldn't stand a chance against our opponents. If we go on with Kamu as manager will see the next few matches" (Kamu FC's president)

Other matches: Connemara cruised past Antartis second team and will face Sauda in a battle for first place on Monday.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Sauda 12 20
(=) 2 Connemara 12 12
(+) 3 ITB 6 3
(-) 4 Kamu 6 1
(-) 5 Antartis 6 -9
(+) 6 Black Pearl 3 -8
(-) 7 Avengers 3 -9
(-) 8 Imparaveis 0 -10

Group G:
Klaebs Kings - Seventh Heaven 2:1
Dilligaf United - CzarneKoszule 0:4
FratiFrancescani - Dune FC 1:2
DansendHert - Atletico Trini
1:0

The Game: DansendHert vs Trini, OR2KEY
Another test for Atletico while DansendHert want to bounce back on track. Group G is maybe the most interesting group of all with no clear favourite to advance (except maybe Koszule). Add a surprising team like Trini and you get a group that each match is a crunch match. I bet the gamblers here are confused too.
Though it is not shown by the rating, that was a close match! Maradona scored the winner 5 minutes into the second half. Gullit, who assisted the winning goal, won the MoM award. Dissapointment in Trini who lost their first match and dropped to fourth on the expense of DansendHert who improved to third.

"Great performance of my players. We overclassed our opponent today. This result must give us a boost to beat Klaebs Kings on Monday and open the door for qualification" (dansendhert, DansendHert's manager)

Other matches: Klaebs barely won against Seventh Heaven to improve to second, but they're ahead of the Belgiums only by number of goals. Dune is also still in the race after a win against FF. Koszule kept its first place.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Koszule 12 9
(+) 2 Klaebs 9 3
(+) 3 DansendHert 9 3
(-) 4 Trini 7 2
(+) 5 Dune 6 -2
(-) 6 FF 4 1
(=) 7 Seventh Heaven 0 -6
(=) 8 Dilligaf 0 -10

Group H:
Triple OGs - FC Ruwenda 2:1
Steaua1971 Dragasani - Melres DC 5:0
Northern Lights - Not Exactly A Bot 5:0
Tropancho - Viitorul Dragasani
1:1

The Games: NL vs NEAB, Aurora Borealis Stadium & Steaua1971 vs Melres, Santiago Bernabeu
After a round without a report, group H welcomes us back with two interesting matches! It's the first against the second and third against fourth. NEAB is perfect and showing brilliant performance so far, NL is undefeated too but their matches were much closer.
Melres gets another chance to get close to the top with a challenge against Steaua1971.
NotBot must be furious with Altair al-Wasiti. After getting a yellow card 3 minutes into the match, he fouled inside the penalty area and was sent off, leaving NEAB no chance against an opponent of such class. Pericle Avram scored a hattrick (two of them in penalties) and Ron Hue scored a brace to put NL in first place.
Melres for some reason didn't play with its first lineup. Steaua1971 said thanks and won 5:0 and improved to second place.

"Congrats to my opponent, she deserved the win. After early red card, I couldn't resist too long with 2 defenders, which was also my tactical mistake" (NotBot, Not Exactly A Bot's manager)

Other matches: OGs kept alive with a win against Ruwenda. Viitorul is probably out after a draw against Tropancho.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(+) 1 NL 10 7
(+) 2 Steaua1971 9 11
(-) 3 NEAB 9 6
(+) 4 OGs 7 0
(-) 5 Melres 6 -6
(=) 6 Viitorul 4 -2
(+) 7 Tropancho 1 -8
(-) 8 Ruwenda 0 -8

After an intense first round, the second round gives us more exitement (updates will be wriiten in gold):

Group A:
Los Cruzados - Comtek
5:0
Parma AC - The Red Warriors 5:0
Halifax City - Las Leonas 0:3
Phoenix Baia Mare - Black and White Dreamer
0:4

The Game: Halifax vs Leonas, Dewolf Park
With Baia Mare and Comtek sitting behind, the two underdogs meet to decide who will battle with Cruzados and BWD for the top 2. Both teams in good form and equally matched. This match will test each manager's tactics.
Leonas' dream continues. Halifax were the better team at the first half but good perfomance of Leonas keeper, Bob van Rijn, kept the scores levelled. To the second half Leons returned stronger and went in front after 5 minutes thanks to Charlie Braunstone's header. Halifax were trying to force on an equaliser but they were caught on a quick counter-attack and Michael Myers doubled Leonas lead. The second goal broke Halifax players' hearts and they didn't tried to get back to the match. On the contrary, Harvey Barton scored a third for the Argentinians Champions to make the final score. Myers won the MoM award.

Other matches: BWD wiped off ten men Baia Mare, Nguyn Tri Đội scored all 4 goals. Cruzados did the same with 10 men comtek, with 5 different goalscorers. Comtek did try to hit back several times but Alain Faye was inspired for and kept on clean net. Parma got all 3 points against uninterested Red Warriors.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 BWD 9 9
(=) 2 Los Cruzados 7 6
(+) 3 Las Leonas 6 3
(+) 4 Parma 5 5
(-) 5 Halifax 3 -2
(-) 6 Baia Mare 2 -4
(=) 7 Red Warriros 1 -7
(=) 8 Comtek 0 -10

Group B:
All Spurs - Beachlife 1:4
FC Brescia - P1cass0 3:0
Craiova-Maxima -
The Evil Looking Clowns 2:2
Royal FC - Levski Bulgaria 3:6

The Game: Royal vs Levski, Huntsman Stadium
Simply a cunch match. Both teams started with a lose and another lose now will probably send the losers start thinking about the league. 3 points here are essential for both.
This game provided us a 9 goals thriller. Adam Penning scored the first goal for the host after only 1 minute. But Theo Walcott equalised for the visitors at the 14 minute and completed the comeback 9 minutes later. Walcott doubled the lead at the 31 minute with a hattrick but Thonas Haux pulled one back before Half-Time. Royal made the comeback 10 minutes into the second half thanks to Senad Bajević own goal. Eternal Small Dragon subbed his keeper but it didn't help as Joe Velazquez brought back the lead for Levski and Koravit Yodthongdee doubled the lead 8 minutes later. Walcott finished the match with 4 goals and Haux, despite the lose, won the MoM award.

"Good win for me, but it's based mostly on that Royal was wrong with his starting 11 once again in his campaign this season" (Zlostar1111, Levski Bulgaria's manager)

Other matches: Cairova were held to a 2-2 draw with TELC and dropped to 4th on the expense of Levski who iproved to 3rd. Beachlife and Brescia remianed at the top with easy wins.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Beachlife 9 7
(=) 2 Brescia 7 8
(+) 3 Levski 6 3
(-) 4 Craiova 4 3
(-) 5 Royal 3 -3
(=) 6 TELC 2 -3
(=) 7 All Spurs 1 -7
(=) 8 P1cass0 1 -8

Group C:

The Busby Babes - KA Barcelona 1:3
Kavalacio FC - PS-NanGo 5:0
Dinamo Zaragoza - Northcountry Timberwolves 0:1
Rene1293 - Aslansaray
4:0

The Game: Zaragoza vs Timberwolves, Romareda
The Canadian Champions are in good form but if they are willing to challenge the leaders, they need to get past the dissapointing spaniards first.
OVY tgv decided to give up on the CL and concentrate on the league so he put Zaragoza's second team against Timberwolves. Despite it, Zaragoza were better throughout all the match and were unlucky to lose by a single goal of Karim Deschamps whice was the Canadians only shot on target! Timberwovles however, must be happy with the win which keeps them on the race with a tough fixture against Barcelona tomorrow. Zaragoza's defender Sebastian Coates awarded MoM.

"Some tepid performance from some of my players meant that I was lucky to sneak a win. I'll take luck though!" (Flirtybee, Northcountry Tiberwolves' manager)

Other matches: Kavalcio drew Barcelona for first place after the 5:0 win over NanGo, Barcelona won "only" 1:3 in Sweden as they lost their GD advantage.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Barcelona 9 10
(+) 1 Kavalacio 9 10
(=) 3 Timberwolves 9 6
(+) 4 Rene1293 3 0
(=) 5 Busby 3 -3
(-) 6 NanGo 3 -5
(-) 7 Zaragoza 0 -5
(=) 8 Aslansaray 0 -13

Group D:

A Portuguesa de Desportos - FC Future Ghosts 0:6
Krazy Kickers - Hotspurs FC 2:4
FC GPRO - Ghostriders  1:6
FC Boom - Royal Arsenal FC
0:4

The Game: GPRO vs Ghostriders, GPRO's stadium
A first test for the Germans. After winning both games against smaller teams, GPRO faces the mighty Norweigian Champs. It might be too hard to beat but if they can pull a surprise, they are capable of advancing.
No mercy as Ghostriders cruised for victory. Brattbakk scored after 1 minute of play and Neymar da Silva doubled the lead two minutes later. GPRO tried to hit back to the match with some fine attacks but they gave away a penalty at the 11 minute and Brattbakk made it 0:3. The rest of the half was evenly matched but no goals were scored. At the 52 minute GPRO gave away another penalty and Brattbakk completed his hattrick. GPRO couldn't answer them and were punished again, this time with a red card to Aivaras Rimas which left the host in 10 men. Rigimussen used the numerous advantage to score the fifth but was sent off a minute later after recieving a second yellow card. GPRO finally pulled one back 9 minutes from time with Marc Janko scoring but Ørjan Berg assured that the GD will be 5. Skammelsrud of Ghostriders awarded MoM in a match that 3 different players hit 99.

"I wasn't expecting much, but this just wasn't my game and the score is too high. First half was actually quite close according to the match stats despite me being 0:4 down already. Just everything went wrong for me" (alex85, FC GPRO's manager)

"In this match I saved some players for the league match, letting the usually bench players show that they can do when starting a match. Worked well and gave me some great display in this match. Can't complain with 3:0 after 12 minutes" (Mr Krokkert, Ghostriders' manager)

Other matches: Royal Arsenal improves to second after an easy victory in Belgium against Boom, first points to Future Ghosts as they won decisively in Brazil and Hotspurs are still alive with a comfortable win in Malaysia against Krazy Kickers.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(+) 1 Ghostriders 9 11
(+) 2 Royal Arsenal 9 7
(-) 3 GPRO 6 3
(+) 4 Hotspurs 6 3
(+) 5 Future Ghosts 3 3
(-) 6 Krazy Kickers 3 0
(=) 7 Boom 0 -9
(=) 8 Desportos 0 -18

Group E:
Grobari 1970 - Zi Huha 1:4
Amethyst - Gr8 Angelz
2:0
Lyngby BK - Giarra Djinns
0:11
More Beer FC - Club Sportivo Sergipe
5:0

The Game: Amethyst vs Gr8 Angelz, KLC Stadium
Clash for first place. After that match only one (or none) team will stay perfect. Judging by Q, the Norwegians have the upper hand but the Americans showed great perfomance on their wins and their GD is better than Angelz by 5. The winner of this match will put a step into the KOs.
Maybe the most surprising result of the round. Nothing interesting happend in the first half as only one chance was maid ant it was off target. Both teams started making chances in the second half with the Americans playing a bit better but their shot went mostly off target. But at the 64 minute the Norwegians "helped" them by giving away a  penalty which was scored by Eleftherios Kolovetsios. Gr8 Angelz were close to equalise on the 71 minute but Yosyp Boyko doubled Amethyst's lead just a minute later to break their spirits. A good perfomance by Amethyst keeper Mr. Tentacle helped the Americans to keep on a clean net and win the match despite Angelz were better in rating. Steinar Larsson, Amethyst midfielder won the MoM award.

"I am glad that the team won the game with a clean sheet against one of the toughest teams in this group, Gr8 Angelz are a very good side. Good performance from our keeper too. There are a few more tough games but we are confident to qualify in this group" (Zhong, Amethyst's manager)

Other Matches: Zi Huha are back on track with a second win and probably eliminating poor Grobari. More Beer and Giarra Djunns achieved as expected easy wins.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Amethyst 9 12
(+) 2 Giarra 7 13
(+) 2 More Beer 7 13
(+) 4 Zi Huha 6 6
(-) 5 Gr8 Angelz 6 3

(=) 8 Lyngby 0 -27

Group F:
ITB FC - Antartis 1:5
Connemara United - Kamu FC
5:0
Black Pearl - Sauda
0:3
Imparaveis FC - Avengers FC
0:1

The Game: Connemara vs Kamu, Brionglóid Chonnamara
The most important match for the Germans. With only 4 teams in the race, the winner in that match is probably assured of a place in the next stage. The Irish Champions are clear favourite but no one can predict the results of the simulator..
Furious in Kamu's camp against the referee as he gave two yellow cards to Leonartdo Aretino after 12 minutes and the Germans had to play the rest 78 minutes with 10 players. Kamu gave away a penalty a minute later and Christopher Ward converted it in. Tevez made it 2:0 7 minutes later and Marius Constantin and Hafsteinn Ingisson made 4:0 before Half-Time. The second half was more of the same but this time Abdul-Hadi al-Basri saved all of the shots except one - Ingisson's second who made it 5:0. Kamu did have some nice attacks afterwards but a very good performance by keeper Tobias Styles kept the difference on 5. Ingisson won the MoM award.

"Expected a tough match, however I think I had the upper hand even before the red card. Glad that it came as is definitely made the task easier. Still a lot of hard work ahead in the upcoming matches" (csiremar, Connemara United's manager)

Other matches: Sauda got their expected 3 points from the match against Black Pearl 2nd team but ITB is probably out of the race after the defeat to Antartis 2nd squad. Kamu will have another chance to reach the Round of 16 if they can beat Sauda tomorrow by a sufficient GD.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Sauda 9 17
(+) 2 Connemara 9 8
(-) 3 Kamu 6 4
(+) 4 Antartis 6 -5
(-) 5 ITB 3 0
(=) 6 Avengers 3 -6
(+) 7 Imparaveis 0 -8
(-) 8 Black Pearl 0 -10

Group G:
Dilligaf United - FratiFrancescani 0:3
DansendHert - CzarneKoszule 0:1
Klaebs Kings - Dune FC 1:2
Seventh Heaven - Atletico Trini 1:2

The Game: DansendHert vs Koszule, OR2KEY
The importance of this game is very high. With 5 points gap from fifth place, the three leaders will probably fight themselves for the two tickets to the Round of 16. The Belgian Champions and League Cup holders want to advance for the first time, on the other side the Poles wish to restore its former glory.
It seems that experience do help in these matches as Koszule are still perfect after this tough fixture. Redman scored the only goal in this game after 6 minutes of play from an amazing free-kick from 32 metres which caught DansendHert's keeper off guard and went in. The rest of the match was rather boring except a great save by Judge Dredd in the last minutes which kept his team in the lead. DansendHert's defender Kohler tried his best to avert the Poles attack and awarded MoM.

"It's definitely sure some players spent too much time in the pub last night. Normally I don't mention any names, but after such a performance Maradona and Grobbelaar should be ashamed to be playing with a modelprof like Kohler" (dansendhert, DansendHert's manager)

Other matches: Klaebs were surprised with a home lose to Dune. The Australians lost their place to Trini wo barely won in Singapore. FF try to save their campaing with a well-deserved win away against Dilligaf.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Koszule 9 5
(+) 2 Trini 7 3
(-) 3 Klaebs 6 2
(-) 4 DansendHert 6 2
(=) 5 FF 4 2
(+) 6 Dune 3 -3
(+) 7 Seventh Heaven 0 -5
(-) 8 Dilligaf 0 -6

0:2
Viitorul Dragasani - Not Exactly A Bot
0:4

Steua1971 is back on the race after an easy win in the Netherlands which put them in 3rd place, NEAB kept on its first place with an amazing win in France,  NL improved to 2nd on the expense of the Dutch after a close win over Ruwenda, Melres looks for a surprise too after a win in Bulgaria.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 NEAB 9 11

After an intense first round, the second round gives us more exitement (updates will be wriiten in gold):

Group A:
Los Cruzados - Parma AC
1:1
Halifax City - Comtek
3:1
Phoenix Baia Mare - The Red Warriors
1:1
Black and White Dreamer - Las Leonas
2:0

The Game: BWD vs Leonas, Stadio delle Alpi
After defeating Comtek, the Poles host the Argentinians Champions for a clash between the best winners of the first round. BWD is undoubtly the favourite to seal all 3 points.

Leonas started better but than BWD took control of the match and fairly won. Jimmy Carter and Ilija Topličanin scored for the winners and Carter has also won the MoM award.

Other matches: Parma pulled another surprise by holding Cuzados to draw in Sweden thus leaving BWD the only perfect team in this group. Another bad result for Baia Mare who were hold to a home draw against ten men Red Warriors. Amazing result for Halifax who defeated Comtek 3-1 and jumped into third. This is not the season Becksergejs will want to remembe.

Standings:
  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 BWD 6 5
(+) 2 Los Cruzados 4 1
(+) 3 Halifax 3 1
(-) 4 Las Leonas 3 0
(-) 5 Baia Mare 2 0
(-) 6 Parma 2 0
(=) 7 Red Warriros 1 -2
(=) 8 Comtek 0 -5

Group B:
All Spurs - FC Brescia 1:1
Craiova-Maxima - Beachlife
1:2
Royal FC - P1cass0
6:1
Levski Bulgaria - The Evil Looking Clowns
4:1

The Game: Craiova vs Beachlife, Ion Oblemenco Stadion

No rest for Beachlife. After defeating Levski, the English Champions now face another hard task. The Americans are in a great form and won all of their matches (according to round 3).

What a game! Both teams are equally matched and gave us an entertaining and exiting game!
After a boring first half, Craiova went into the lead 5 minutes after the break thanks to Florin Cioroianu's header. Beachlifeuk changed his team's formation and subbed two players and it made the change as his team put a lot of pressure on the Americans and equalised at the 70 minute during a corner - airkraft score the header. Beachlifeuk was forced to make another change two minutes later as Rachel Riley was injured and Bulkhead replaced her. It was worth it cause 4 minutes from time Bulkhead scored and completed the English comeback. Craiova almost equalised at the final minute but Nicolae Tilihoi's header hit the post. Aurică
Beldeanu was awarded MoM.

Other matches: Brescia was amazed and lost points in Thailand with only a draw against All Spurs. Thus making Beachlife the only perfect team in this group after 2 rounds. Leski got back on track with a decisive win against ten men TELC. Royal also got first win after defeating uninterested P1cass0 who played with their 2nd team.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(+) 1 Beachlife 6 4
(-) 2 Brescia 4 5
(-) 3 Craiova 3 3
(+) 4 Royal 3 0
(+) 5 Levski 3 0
(-) 6 TELC 1 -3
(=) 7 All Spurs 1 -4
(-) 8 P1cass0 1 -5

Group C:

Aslansaray - Northcountry Timberwolves 0:3
rene1293 - PS-NanGo 0:2
Dinamo Zaragoza - KA Barcelona 1:3
The Busby Babes - Kavalacio FC
1:4

The Game: Zaragoza vs Barcelona, Romareda
The Spanish Champions need points after the lose to Busby, however it's hard to see them getting it against the might Hungaria who are contenders to win the CL.

KA Barcelona continues to roar. It was a one sided match until the 71 minute - Christophe Kinet, Nguyn Viết Hin and Edward Digby made it a comfortabled lead for the Hungarians. But then Diego Maradona was injured and Klucsesz used all its subs so Barcelona were left in 10 players and Zaragoza took control of the rest of the match and pulled one back at the final minute - Jonny Banister the goalscorer. Awesome JT from Barcelona awarded MoM.

"It was an important match and a decisive win if we ant to achieve something. The tactics were good and my team showed a really good game, if my team keeps playing good like this we can beat anyone! Over the past seasons we showed that we are a well based and capable of winning the Champions League" (Klucsesz, KA Barcelona's manager)

Other Matches: Kavalacio outclassed Busby coming from behind to win in Sweden, Timberwolves also perfect after a decisve win in Turkey against Aslansaray. First points to NanGo who won in Lebanon.

Standings:
  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Barcelona 6 8
(=) 2 Kavalacio 6 5
(+) 3 Timberwolves 6 5
(+) 4 NanGo 3 0
(-) 5 Busby 3 -1
(=) 6 Zaragoza 0 -4
(-) 6 rene1293 0 -4
(=) 8 Aslansaray 0 -9

Group D:

Krazy Kickers - Royal Arsenal FC 1:3
FC Boom - FC GPRO 0:1
A Portuguesa de Desportos - Ghostriders 0:5
FC Future Ghosts - Hotspurs FC
0:2

The Game: Future Ghosts vs Hotspurs, Future Ghosts' Stadium
Both teams need a win in order to catch up with the leader but only one team can get it (or they'll draw). Unlike Hotspurs who is struggling in the league too, Future Ghosts haven't lost a league match yet.

Hotspurs get first points on Ghosts' expense. After a half with not events, the visitors got a penlaty right from the brake but Mauro Navarro shot it on the goalie. He ammended his mistakes 15 minutes later when he assisted Tobias Carter who brought the lead to the English. The Americans put some pressure but could not score and Carter assured his team's win with a second goal 5 minutes from time. Hotspurs finished the match with 10 men after Basian Walter recieved a second yellow card but it didn't matter to the result which left the host 6 points from the leaders.

"Sure am glad I won that one. It's a big step towards going through" (Spudgreg, Hotspurs FC's manager)

Other Mathes: 3 Teans sit on the top with a perfect record. Ghostriders didn't work hard to defeat Desportos in Brazil, neither Royal Arsenal who defeated Krazy Kickers in Malaysia. GPRO had to work a bit harder but still won in Belgium.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 GPRO 6 8
(+) 2 Ghostriders 6 6
(+) 3 Royal Arsenal 6 3
(-) 4 Krazy Kickers 3 2
(=) 5 Hotspurs 3 1
(=) 6 Future Ghosts 0 -3
(=) 7 Boom 0 -5
(=) 8 Desportos 0 -12

Group E:
Amethyst - Lyngby BK 8:0
Grobari 1970 - Gr8 Angelz
1:3
More Beer FC - Giarra Djinns
0:0
Club Sportive Sergipe - Zi Huha
0:5

The Game: More Beer vs Giarra, More Beer Stadium
Giarra hopes to continue their form from yesterday and forget the troubles at the home league when they visit the Austarlians. More Beer lost earlier their first game of the season and they'll hope to stop that strike right there.

Both teams gave us a boring game, not what expected from them and dissapoitment for the fans. Giarra were better most of the match but couldn't make an attack. The games finished with 1 shot on traget to each of them. Gilgamesh Archer of Giarra won the MoM award.

"Very defensive game but happy with a point to keep us in it during our first CL Campaign" (D Butts, More Beer FC's manager)

"The players performed well but did not create enough chances. Will be going through the match to see where the chances were squandered and try to improve on it. Perhaps the loss of 2 key team stats this morning was also a contributing factor" (Advent, Giarra Djinns' manager)

Other Matches: Gr8 Angelz remains perfect after a nice win in Serbia, Amethyst didn't work hard to defeat uninterested Lyngby and Zi Huha got first points after an easy win in Brazil against Sergipe.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(+) 1 Amethyst 6 10
(=) 2 Gr8 Angelz 6 5
(-) 3 More Beer 4 8
(-) 4 Giarra 4 2
(+) 5 Zi  Huha 3 3
(-) 6 Grobari 0 -4
(=) 7 Sergipe 0 -8
(=) 8 Lyngby 0 -16

Group F:
Avengers FC - Sauda 1:4
Connemara United - ITB FC
2:1
Black Pearl - Kamu FC
0:5
Imparaveis FC - Antartis
0:2

The Games: Black Pearl vs Kamu, Black Pearl Stadium
A test for the Germans. Cyrus is rebuilding its so Black Pearl are playing with their 2nd team. However it is still a good team and if Kamu are willing to challenge for one of the top 2 spots they need to win this one.

Not much a surprise as the Germans cruised for victory. Even though Black Pearl palyed with their 2nd team, between the sticks stood Cyrus' first keeper who gave a horrible perfomance. The result was set after only 24 minutes with Gerardo Fajardo scoring a hattrick and Nobuya Kawabata and Havinho adding to the tally. Kamu couldn't score after that but they recorded the an important win.

Other matches: Sauda got easily past Avengers in Turkey while Connemara had to work hard to down ITB at home soil. It seems that Imparaveis and Avengers are also playing with their 2nd squad, making it only 4 teams to fight for 2 tickets.

"It was a very surprising result. Never imagined to beat Black Pearl, one of the strongest teams ever. I took it as a nice Christmas surprise" (Kamu, Kamu FC's manager)

Standings:
  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Sauda 6 14
(+) 2 Kamu 6 9
(+) 3 Connemara 6 3
(-) 4 ITB 3 4
(+) 5 Antartis 3 -9
(=) 6 Avengers 0 -7
(-) 7 Black Pearl 0 -7
(=) 7 Imparaveis 0 -7

Group G:
Dilligaf United - DansendHert 0:1
Klaebs Kings - FratiFrancescani
2:1
Seventh Heaven - CzarneKoszule
0:2
Atletico Trini - Dune FC
3:1

The Game: Klaebs vs FF, The Kingdome
The might Australian Champions meet S.107 Finalists. The kings are in a great form and won every match until now. The Italians may not be strong as the Australians but they still can pull a surprise.

A great match that was, a lot of chances were created by both teams and at the end the better team won by a whisker. Both teams started well with great attacks that finished at the goalies' hands. But it was Klaebs who went into the lead by 9 minutes scored by Snow White after a great move ny Ali Baba.  FF got the equaliser 3 minutes later - Alessandro Cosmi scored with a header. But it didn't last long as Dobby brought back the lead immediately. Both keepers were on form afterwards and kept on clean nets. A victory for the Australian Champs at the end of the most entertaining match of the round.

"Well having a match in the everning of Christmas Day is always interesting. The team performed well which could be put down to some health servings of Turkey and Pudding. The first 15 minutes were fast and exciting with 3 quick goals. With Snow White continuing to demonstrate a love for the big cup games by once again scoring and Dobby showing his class. The rest of the game was a torrid affair with both teams struggling to convert" (Klaebs, Klaebs Kings' manager)

Other matchs: 10 men Dilligaf gave a great fight but at the end lost to the Belgians from a late goal. Koszule were not troubled by Seventh Heaven and got all 3 points. Dune put another bad perfomance and lost to Trini in Spain to remain with null points.

Standings:
  Place Team Pts GD
(=) 1 Koszule 6 4
(+) 2 Klaebs 6 3
(=) 2 DansendHert 6 3
(=) 4 Trini 4 2
(-) 5 FF 1 -1
(+) 6 Dilligaf 0 -3
(-) 7 Dune 0 -4
(-) 8 Seventh Heaven 0 -4

Group H:
Triple OGs - Northern Lights 1:1
Tropancho - Steaua1971 Dragasani 1:4

Viitorul Dragasani - FC Ruwenda 4:1

Not Exactly A Bot - Melres DC 8:2

The Game: OGs vs NL, Gangstas Stadium
With Steaua lost their first match, NL have a good chance to finish top of the group. OGs will try to get another win and boost their chacnes of advancing.

Equal match, a fair draw though OGs had more chacnes than NL. The Dutch were on control on the first match and went into the lead at the 36 minute thanks to Adrian Nuñez header. NL replied with pressure at the second half but Iván Veres stopped them from equalising. OGs could've doubled their lead at the 73 minute as they recieved a penalty but Nuñez shot it on the keeper. NL finally got the equaliser at the 80 minute - Fani Salisbury curled a free-kick from 20 metres into the net to finish the match leveled.

Other matches: Steaua1971 and Viitorul got their first win by both winning 4-1 against their respective opponents. NEAB is the only perfect team in this group after an amazing 8-2 win over Melres.

Standings:

  Place Team Pts GD
(+) 1 NEAB 6 7
(-) 2 OGs 4 3
(=) 3 NL 4 1
(+) 4 Viitorul 3 2
(+) 5 Steaua1971 3 2
(-) 6 Melres 3 -3
(=) 7 Tropancho 0 -6
(=) 7 Ruwenda 0 -6

MLCL Group Stage - Round 1 (24/12/2013 11:19)

The moment you've all waited for is here. The ManagerLeague Chamipons League begins!

In just 1 hour it will begin. These are the matches of the first round (updates will be wriiten in gold):

Group A:
Los Cruzados - Halifax City 2:1
Phoenix Baia Mare - Parma AC
1:1
Black and White Dreamer - Comtek
4:1
Las Leonas - The Red Warriros
2:0

The Game: BWD vs Comtek, Stadio delle Alpi
In an early clash the Polish Champions are tested by the Baltic Champions and a chance to show their determination to adavnce to the KO.
Excellent game for the Poles, outclassing the Baltic. Hamish MacKie, George Goh, Evaldas Rimas and Jerry Young scored for BWD, The mouse temporarily equalised for Comtek who played the last 17 minutes without Fernando Camilo who was dismissed with a second yellow card. George Goh awarded MoM.

"I was unsure about the first match because my rival was strong and no one knows what Spinner does with the simulator, but everything was ok. I won and I'm looking for my next opponent" (Mateusz Jankowski, BWD's manager)

"I knew that I will be beaten in this match, so my goal was to not lose by a big difference. BWD's players' main skills are much better than mine so the second half of the game shows it very well. The red card gave them more opportunities to press on my team. The goal was not achieved but it was only the first game" (Becksergejs, Comtek's manager)

Other matches: Parma succeeded in pulling a little upset, holding Baia Mare to a draw in Romania. Cruzados worked hard to beat the Canadian Runner-Ups (Well Played BullRIder!).

Group B:
The Evil Looking Clowns - P1cass0 0:0
Levski Bulgaria - Beachlife
0:3
Royal FC - FC Brescia
0:5
All Spurs - Craiova-Maxima
2:6

The Game: Levski vs Beachlife, Georgi Asparuhov Stadion

A direct battle for a top spot, both teams want to win it and the result will probably set the tune for the next matches.
Levski has still a lot to learn after the home defeat to Beachlife. Amora the Enchantress scored the lead in the first half and when it looked like Levski could come back Hiram Boateng was injured and as the manager used all its subs, Levski remained with 10 player. Afterwards Amora completed a brace and Rachel Riley added one to make it 3-0. Amanda Peet awarded MoM (or WoM). Beachlife

"Nothing went according to plan. Maybe I had a little chance for a draw, but it was before my midfielder got injured" (Zlostar1111, Levski's manager)

Other matches: Royal decided to put a 2nd team with an avg Q aound 90-91 against Brescia and were defeated 0-5. Craiova had no mercy and defeated All Spurs 2-6 away.

Group C:
rene1293 - Kavalacio FC 1:3
The Busby Babes - Dinamo Zaragoza
2:0
Aslansaray - KA Barcelona
0:6
Northcountry Timberwolves - PS-NanGo
2:0

The Game: Busby vs Zaragoza, The Theatre of Dreams
Though it's not as much as a clash as in the first two groups, Zaragoza's strength is tested by visiting The Theatre of Dreams. The Swedish have never made it to the KO and this is an important match for them to prove what they worth.
For 26 minutes both teams were equally matched but than Ionut Lupescu from Zaragoza was sent off with a controversial red card. Busby, now with both home and number advatages, had just to win it and Anas Hamoud took care of it with a brace. Johnny Berry won MoM. Important 3 points for the Swedes.

Other matches: Kavalacio and Barcelona won easily as expected. Timberwolves put a good perfomance in their 2-0 win (GO FLIRTYBEE).

Group D:
FC Boom - Krazy Kickers 0:4
A Portuguesa de Desportos - FC GPRO
0:7
FC Future Ghosts - Royal Arsenal FC
0:1
Hotspurs FC - Ghostriders
1:2

The Game: Hotspurs vs Ghostriders, White Hart Lane
T-he match of the group. The two teams with the highest avg Q in the group battle for first points.
Hotspurs didn't test Ghostriders much and they were lucky not to lose by a bigger score. Mr Krokkert scored the lead for the Norwegians from a great free-kick, but Leandro Silva equalised for the English out of nowhere. Skammelsrud scored immediately and silenced the 70,000 fans. He also won the MoM.

"He edged most of the game. I thought I could sneak a win but probably got my tactics wrong by going so defensive in the first half" (Spudgreg, Hotspurs' manager)

"Tough match between two high Q teams. I think I took him on tactics with playing continental 4-4-2 defence against his 4-3-3. I took control in midfield and the wings helped the defence against his 3 attackers. High performance to my middys with some good flair and shooting ability" (Mr Krokkert, Ghostriders' manager)

Other matches: Royal Arsenal surprised Future Ghosts with a 0:1 win away. GPRO scored 7 to Desportos' net.

Group E:
More Beer FC - Lyngby BK 8:0
Zi Huha - Giarra Djinns
0:2
Club Sportivo Sergipe - Gr8 Angelz
0:3
Amethyst - Grobari 1970
2:0

The Game: Zi Huha - Giarra Djinns, Stadium Nobeëa
This match could be proved to be a battle for second place so preperations for this match are high on both teams.
Giarra proved to be too strong for Zi Huha. Right from the start the English had more share of the ball and after 20 minutes they had one more man too. Zi 1 of Zi Huha was the last defender as he fouled Jori Suomalainen and he was showed a direct red card. In 10 players the Vietnamese are no match against Giarra and Obito Uchiha and Rikudõ Sennin scored to prove that. Tobirama Senju of Giarra won MoM.

"Both of us tried to lure each other into thinking that we would go 3-5-2 continental from our previous League games. So we both set up counter measures for that formation. And in the end we fielded similar tactics. The match was even until he got a red card, so some luck went in my favour there. He still was very much in the match despite having 10 men on the field until that second goan in the 75 minute. Looks like the group stage will go right down to the last game" (Advent, Giarra Djunns' manager)

Other matches: Amethyst looked determined when they edged Grobari 2:0, More Beer scored 8 goals against Lyngby.

Group F:
Connemara United - Black Pearl 2:0
Imparaveis FC - ITB FC
0:5
Avengers FC - Kamu FC
0:4
Sauda - Antartis
11:0

The Games: Sauda vs Antartis, Nye Sauda Stadion
A match with a lot to decide according to recent news (see earlier article). Will the favourite survive or will the underdog prevail?
Antartis played with a their 2nd team and Sauda cruised to an easy victory. I'm not reporting sort of matches..

Other matches: Black Pearl are still strong even in their 2nd team and Connemara worked hard to win this game. If Balck Pearl and Antartis are not playing for the top spots it makes Kamu a dark horse. The Germans started well with a 0-4 win away in Turkey.
I was informed that Antartis is rebuilding his team too so it makes Connemara and Sauda the main contenders to advance to the KO.

Group G:
Dilligaf United - Klaebs Kings 0:2
Seventh Heaven - DansendHert
1:3
Atletico Trini - FratiFancescani
1:1
Dune FC - CzarneKoszule
1:3

The Game: Dune vs Koszule, Victors Arena
The Hungarians are being challenged by the mighty Poles in an another important clash in the first round.
Dissapointing result for the Hungarians who were slightly better but a bad perfomance of keeper Vladimir Yawseenka enabled Koszule to cruise with whole 3 points. James Parker scored the lead for Dune, but Jeffrey Bruma, Iker Blanco and Redman turned the result. Blanco awarded MoM.

Other matches: DansendHert and Klaebs didn't dissapoint and won their respective matches by 2 goals each.

Group H:
Triple OGs - Tropancho 3:0
Viitorul Dragasani - Northern Lights
1:2
Not Exactly A Bot - Steaua1971 Dragasani
1:0
Melres DC - FC Ruwenda
3:0

The Game: NEAB vs Steaua1971,Kederlia Pavyon
Steaua are favourites but the Turkes are willing to surprise.
The Turkes showed why there are not exactly a bot with a surprsing win over Seaua1971. The teams were equally matched and only the keeper's form parted them. NEAB keeper Rogerio Ceni was in an excellent form and stopped every shot on target while Steaua1971 keeper Adri Nursidik conceded one even though he was good too. Isa Fikret scored the winning goal and awarded MoM.

"It was a balanced game and I was the lucky one. My opponent could have won too" (NotBot, NEAB's manager)

The reserved spots went to the leagues of Australia, Canada, Germany and the USA. Australia and Canada now have 2 spots on CL while Germany and the USA now have 3 spots.

So let's see what awaits us this season:

Los Cruzados (Sweden)
Phoenix Baia Mare (Romania)
Black and White Dreamers (Poland)
Halifax City (Canada)
The Red Warriors (Malaysia)
Las Leonas (Argentina)
Parma AC (Serbia)
Comtek (Baltic)

BWD comes as a favourite to top the group along with Cruzados but Comtek and Baia Mare might pull a surprise or two. Experience needed to be taken into consideration though, as BWD never made it to the KO before nor Baia Mare while Comtek and Cruzados have and even won the CL once.

Group B:
P1cass0 (International)
Beachlife (England)
Craiova - Maxima (USA)
Levski Bulgaria (Bulgaria)
FC Brescia (Italy)
The Evil Looking Clowns (Netherlands)
Royal FC (Vietnam)
All Spurs (Thailand)

A very tough group with 4 teams around the same Q. Royal, the CL Runner-Up, and Levski, the SU Holder, will be tested by Beachlife and Craiova. Brescia is a dark horse in this group, hoping to pull some shockable results. Former CL Champions P1cas0 will try to return to their golden age.

Group C:
The Busby Babes (Sweden)
Dinamo Zaragoza (Spain)
Kavalacio FC (Greece)
Northcountry Timberwolves (Canada)
Aslansaray (Turkey)
PS NanGo (Indonesia)
KA Barcelona (Hungary)
Rene1293 (Arab)

Former CL Champions Barcelona are undoubtly the team to beat here, with Zaragoza and Kavalacio, the SU Runner-Up,  fighting for second place. Busby, Timberwolves and NanGo can be proved to be hard to beat, though they'll need to put numerous surprises in order to advance.

Group D:
Ghostriders (Norway)
Hotspurs FC (England)
FC Future Ghosts (USA)
A Portuguesa de Desportos (Brazil)
Krazy Kickers (Malaysia)
FC Boom (Belgium)
FC GPRO (Germany)
Royal Arsenal FC (India)

The first group so far that none of its teams made it ever to a Final in both CL and SU. The Norwegian Super-Stars are the favourite to top the group with Hotspurs and Future Ghosts fighting for second. GPRO and Royal Arsenal are no bot teams either and the games against them could be decisive.

Group E:
Gr8 Angelz (Norway)
Giarra Djinns (England)
Amethys (USA)
More Beer FC (Australia)
Club Sportivo Sergipe (Brazil)
Lyngby BK (Denmark)
Grobari 1970 (Serbia)
Zi Huha (Vietnam)

3 favourites to fight for 2 tickets over here; Angelz, former CL Champions Giarra and Zi Huha. However, games againts Amethyst, More Beer, Lyngby and Grobari should not be taken lightly. So there are no easy matches here (except maybe Sergipe with an avg Q of 90.73).

Group F:
Sauda (Norway)
Black Pearl (Romania)
Imparaveis FC (Portugal)
Antartis (Greece)
Avengers FC (Turkey)
ITB FC (Indonesia)
Kamu FC (Germany)
Connemara United (Ireland)

Two times CL Champion Black Pearl is always favourite to advance and this season is no different. However, Sauda and Connemara will not give the Romanians easy life as they'll try both to advance. Former CL Champions Antartis are not be truffled with either and I won't be surprised to see them battling for second place.
I've just been informed by Black Pearl's manager Cyrus that he's rebuilding his team and won't compete for the CL title this season. Thus Black Peadl 2nd team will play the CL which makes Sauda and Connemara the main favourites to top the group.

Group G:
Dilligaf United (International)
Atletico Trini (Spain)
CzarneKoszule (Poland)
Klaebs Kings (Australia)
FratiFrancescani (Italy)
DansendHert (Belgium)
Dune FC (Hungary)
Seventh Heaven (Singapore)

Is DansendHert too strong for this group? Judging by avg Quality only Dune can challange them as they both favourites to overun the group. Former CL Champion Koszule and Klaebs, on the other hand, have quite an experience in the CL and at least one of them could make it through. We must not forget Dilligaf or FF who made it to the final of the CL two seasons ago.

Group H:
Northern Lights (International)
Steaua1971 Dragasani (Romania)
Melres DC (Portugal)
Tropancho (Bulgaria)
Not Exactly A Bot (Turkey)
Triple OGs (Netherlands)
FC Ruwenda (Germany)
Viitorul Dragasani (France)

Compared to the other groups, this is the weekest. Steaua Dragasani are the favourites even though their avg Q is just 96.36. 4 other teams will fight Steaua for top 2 spots: Two times CL Champion Northern Lights, Melres, NEAB and Ruwenda.

First Round will be played on Round 3 at 12:00 System Time. Follow all the action right here on DJ Blog!

S.107 SC - Final (14/11/2013 15:40)

Ladies and Gentlemen, We have a Winner!

Slycujos Gladiators edged Antartis 2-0 and won the SC for the first time. Gladiators are the second Australian team to win the SC, with the last one being Klaebs Kings back at season 96. The Australians finished an amazing campaign, winning all of their games.

Slycujo: First of all congratulations to Trospe for reaching the final and being a great opponent! I think the early goal gave confidence to my boys and they performed extremely well after that. The match was in balance and not many mistakes occurred. We put up the pressure and doubled our lead so we just had to play safe the third part of the game. I am so pleased to win this Trophy and would love to say thanks to by two biggest supporters: Klaebs and Advent!
Something have started in the Australian League several seasons ago and has improved significantly in the past few months. If we have a couple of big names rejoin the first division we will be competing more often on the International stage.

trospe: Bad result for me. His goalkeeper made miracles but mine didn't. Also my midfield and attackers didn't play well. I'm a little upset and unhappy but that's ML, you can't always win. Congrats to the Champion.

Match Report: Gladiators scored by their first chance of the game, Darkhorse kicked a free-kick towards Rudoarius and the later put into the net at the 13 minute. Antartis didn't freak out and had several chances to equalise with the best coming at the 35 minute as Barry Chuckle's header was saved by Ballcruncher who saved also Simon Richard shot a bit later. No further chances were made until the second half.
Gladiators opened the second half with a lot of pressure as they seeked a second goal and found it at the 61 minute. Yta Cruel headed in Acid Sorcerer's corner to double the lead. Antartis then put a non-stop pressure in order to head back into the match but couldn't find the target. Gladiators on the other hand could have scored the third but Gianluigi Buffon saved Sorcerer's shot at the 79 minute. Neither team found the target afterwards and Gladiators' players celebrated at the end.

S.107 CL - Final (14/11/2013 14:00)

Ladies and Gentlemen (or just Gentlemen? seriously are there any ladies out there?), We have a Winner!

Unique FC have won their third CL cup after a stylish 4-1 win over Italian FratiFrancescani. It's the 10th season that an Englsih team wins the CL, and the second season in a row. They've won the CL winning all of their matches, amazing achievment!

Leonidas: I felt like I had control of the game, I think I got my tactics right. The match ratings are similar but I had more shots on goal and my players took their chances. The game couldn't have gone much better for me. I know how FF will be feeling as I was in his position last season but he should be proud of getting to the final, not many teams can say they made it to the final of the CL.
I was planning on this being my last season competing for a while but after my CL win i'm thinking of changing my mind and having one more season to try and defend my title.

Sastianello: He destroyed me! From before the match I knew that Leonidas has a great team with many players who could hurt me at any time. I decided to not play only defence although his team is much stronger than mine. However, i'm very satisfied for all my way in this competition because I eliminated many teams that are stronger than mine and because i'm the first Italian manager who arrived to the final of the CL. When I will have a team with a Q higher than now I will win! Congratulaions to Leonidas!

Match Report: Unique started strong, challenging Gustavo Alvez right from the first minute as he had to save Michelle Keegan's header. He didn't save, however, the next chance; At the 4 minute Luciano Pinto dribbled off FF defence and left the ball to Jean VanBuel who had no problem giving Unique the lead. FF replied with a lot of pressure, forcing Unique's players to get some yellows but didn't find the target and they were punished for that as at the 17 minute VanBuel doubled the lead with a fantastic header. The Italians failed to get back into this game and almost went further behind but Alvez saved Rosie Huntington-Whiteley header.
FF continued with the pressure at the beginning of the second half but were punished again for not scoring. 5 minutes after the break Huntington-Whiteley scored after a magnificent pass by Gemma Arterton. It all seems lost but 2 minutes later a horrible mistake by Pinto almost cost a goal. He fouled just outside the box and Azim al-Asadi got to shoot from 19 metres. Luckily for Unique, Frode Sharma was in place to push it to a corner. But it looks like every FF chance to score makes Unique score as right after this attack Mila Kunis headed in Mr Krokkert's corner.
At the 64 minute, FF had their best chance in the game. Alessandro Cosmi dribbled off Unique's defenders, passed to L
ê Anh Cung but Sharma was in place to push it to corner once more. With the game in their hands Unique took it easier and FF were the better for the last 15 minutes. Unique got a penalty at the 76 minute, but Alvez amazingly saved Mila Kunis shot. 2 minutes later, FF finally got the goal they were looking for as Michelle Keegan scored an own goal. Chung could make it 2 to FF just before the final whistle as he broke Unique off-side trap but he shot wide.

S.107 SC - Final Preview (12/11/2013 16:59)

This season Super-Cup Final is contested by two of the best teams at this level: Slycujos Gladiators form Austarlia and Antartis from Greece.

The two teams are pretty different from each other. Gladiators are only 8 seasons in the Australian first division, Antartis on the other hand are playing in the Greek first division since season 66 with a about a dozen season off but still at least 25 seasons in total. While Gladiators won the League Cup once, Antartis won the League 3 times, the League Cup 3 times and the CL once. In fact the Super-Cup trophy is the only cup missing for trospe.
Their way to the Final was different too, they came from the same group, Gladiators are unbeateable so far in the Super-Cup including a win against the CL holders in the QF, Antartis had to overcome big and strong rival such as Nemesis who's leading the Romanian league.

Key Players:

For Gladiators - Hill Giant is a rock at the back with rating 70. Darkhorse, Wu Heartbreaker and Acid Sorcerer in midfield. All with rating above 82 and 2 goals each.  Muscle Handsome is the top scorer for the team with 8 goals in the SC.

For Antartis - Big names in midfield Luis Enrique and Carlos Darwin Quintero with avg perfomance of 84 and 1 goal for each. But the scoring machine is Simon Richard who scored 11 goals only on SC!

Both managers were very glad to be interviewed for DJ Blog.

Interview with slycujo:

Q: Can you review your way to the Final?

A: At the group stage I didn't think I get this far but had high hope to nake it to the top eight at least. Last season I was out after the first round of KO stage. After finishing first on the group stage, I couldn't wait to see who will be my opponent. I had to play against Klaebs Kings and I was in doubt if I would make it to the top 8, [becuase] Klaebs helped me a lot during my ML career and he knows about me and my team more than anyone else, so I was extremely happy when the 90 minutes were over and the result was 2-1 for my team.
I had to face another king in the next round: King Eric [of Kung-Fu United]. We all know how much experience he has and how good his team is, so winning against him was an incredible feeling.
Reaching an International Cup Semis is a fantastic and exciting point in a manager's life, playing against another Cup winner Dune FC made me feel special. 3 big gums in a row and my players are still in the run for the Trophy. It's causint me goosebumps.

Q: What do you think of you opponent Antartis?

A: Antartis won the CL in season 80 so I am sure he is hungry for a new Trophy His season is awesome. So far he lost only 2 matches this season, one of them against me at the group stage, and coming second in the Greek League which has teams like Deathe House who has won the SC last season. All respect to him and may the best team win.

Interview with trospe:

Q: Can you review you way to the Final?

A: The Group Stage was hard, started with a tie and a lose to my opponent in the Final. The Round of 16 and Semi Final were tough too. Won by 1 goal, Luck had his share too.

Q: The Super Cup is the only cup you don't have. Do you think you can win it against Slycujos?

A: After 3 SC Semi Finals, i'm at the Final. I have a good team, I have experience and I hope I take it.

Q: This is the third year in a row that a Greek team will play in the SC Final. It seems that the Greek League is on the rise, your thoughts?

A: The Greek League is on a rise not only in the SC, Greek Teams have already won the CL and also contested more than 6 finals I think. Our problem is the lack of new managers.

The last time an Australian team contested the SC Final was on S.96 then Klaebs Kings defeated Greek Aristotelous. Will the history repeat itself?

Slycujo: Let's wait and see!

trospe: The statistics and history don't interest our "nice" simulator. It is a tough game, the chances are about 50-50. And of course luck will [also] judge the winner. I just hope it would be me.

S.107 CL - Semi-Finals (12/11/2013 12:44)

That's it. The two finalists are known. Unique and Francescani!

FratiFrancescani - FC Real Manager 2:1 PSO (1:1 FT, 2:2 ET)

The Cinderella story continues! FratiFrancescani are the first Italian team to be in the ML Champions League Final ever!
Judging by the quality of play, Real Manager had the better rating: 71 against 63 but on field the Italians were better in attacking as 60% of their chances went on target against Real's 50%.
FF got a present right from the start as David Alaba pushed Ananta Mukhia inside the box and Alessandro Cosmi converted the penalty into an early lead. 1-0 FF.
FF continued to put pressure on the Romanians but fantastic perfomance by Petr Čech kept his team in the game. Real got the equaliser finally at the 77 minute when Robin van Persie headed in Franck Ribéry's corner 1-1.
At Extra Time Real put a lot of pressure right from the start and made it worth at the 102 minute. Ricardo Kaká passed to Neymar da Silva who completed the comeback 2-1 Real. However, FF were far from giving up, coming from the break the Italians put non-stop pressure and at the 113 minute Lucas Moura with an excellent pass found Akua Oppong, and the later found the net 2-2.
Penatlies: Akua Oppong scored the first penalty and Gustavo Alvez saved Robin van Perise penalty making it 1-0 to FF.
Petr Čech replied with a save, Alessandro Cosmi was the shooter, but Neymar da Silva carelessly sent his penaly wide.
To Neymar's luck Ananta Mukhia shot his penaly wide and Mario Götze equalised 1-1.
Gilbert Carter and Gareth Bale missed both penalties and we're down to the final decisive penalites.
Azim al-Asadi did his work but Franck Ribéry missed his penalty and sent the Italian fans celebrating.

Unique FC - Lions of Darkness 2:1

Unique is off to a second Final in a a row and fourth in 6 seasons.
It was a bit dissapointing game from these teams as the winner put a 63 rating but a win is a win and Leo is sure happy with this.
The first goal came after 36 minutes, a magnificent ball by Christer Fursth went to Mr Krokkert and the later with a great shot put Unique into the lead 1-0.
Krokkert continued his great game with an assist on the 57 minute - his corner made it to Kelly Brook and with a great header it's 2-0 to Unique.
Christophe Kinet gave a little hope for LoD (Lions of Darkness) with a consulating goal 9 minutes from time but it was too little too late, 2-1 final score.

"It was a boring game reallym not a lot happened. I think we cancelled each other out despote both of us looked to to attack for most of the game, there wasn't a lot in it but I think my team did just about enough to deserve the victory" said Leonidas. This is Unique's fourth Final in 6 seasons and as managers we all want to know how: "I've managed to fill my team with very goof performers, i've been lucky to be able to find the right players at the right time". About the Italian manager: "I don't know anything about him to be honest, he must be a very good manager though. He qualified from his groupt above KA who is one of the best managers around, then beating Hanni, Mac and Alex, all games he was considered underdog so I won't be taking him lightly! It's a fantastic achievement for him but i'm sure he doesn't feel like he's done yet!"

S.107 CL - Semi-Finals Preview (11/11/2013 17:18)

Well we're down to 4 teams. Only 2 will advance to the Grand FInal on Thursday, and one of them is sure to be English.
Preperations, interviews, statistics, all is here inside!

The Cinderella of the tournament against the rising star. The Italian Runner-Ups against the Romanian Cup holders. What a joy to see a game where you think the result is clear but when you think again the underdog might just win once more.

FratiFrancescani (or in short I call FF) is not a newbie to the CL, but this is their first time in the Semis. Sastianello's goal is clear - be the first Italian team ever in the history of ML to contest the CL Final. He was pretty amazed that his team gone this far: "Craiova is a great team. I thought I didn't have much hope against him but luck has helped me". Not all glitter is gold though as a few hours later FF lost a vital match against Wassamea and now they're 4 points behind the leaders, but you won't hear Sastianello complains: "yes I lost my last league match, but it was worth too much because CL is the most important competition on this game".
With all due respect to Craiova, Real Manager looks almost ubeatable: "Real Manager is another important team on this game, I hope that my tactical changes will help me face him at the best".

Real Manager didn't have good time after the success at the QF either. A 1-3 home defeat to surprising leaders Nemesis have put ALEX22THEBEST team down to 5th place in the Romanian League.

Lucky for both teams, their opponents on the league before the match are not strong and I guess they will save some top players.

The English derby. The two times CL Champion, current English Champion and the English Cup holder against the second runner up.

For Lions of Darkness, this is the fourth participation in the CL and the first time they are in the Semis. Dunclido had some time to review his way to this stage: "My route to the Semi Finals was a tough one. I believe I had one of the toughest, if not the toughest, group. I also rested all of my players in the final group game which meant I drew and didn't top the group. My match with CzarneKoszule was good for me, He was great tactically, and..I didn't have a good idea of how he would play. The red card obviously helped me, and enabled me to score the winner and close the game out, but I do feel my [team's] fitness was slightly better".
About Unique, Dunclido said: "Ah, Unique, Leo is a great manager, and has a great team. My league record against him is not very good".
In fact, Unique won 8 of their 21 official matches compared to only 4 wins by Lions of Darkness. However, Dunclido emerged winner the last time he met Leonidas on CL, "my record in knockout competitions [against Leo]  is unbeaten. It is unfortunate we play each other and I believe he has a slight advantage over me. I just hope I pick the right tactics and can get a win against one of the best in the game".
This season the teams met once and Unique went victorious with a tough 1-2 win away.

Unique FC is no stranger to the Semi-Finals, making it to the final in 3 of last 5 seasons, Unique is clearly looking for another final. However Leo is reducing expectations: "It feels good to be in the Semis again but there's still a long way to go!". He wasn't impressed by his team 4-1 win: "It was a good match up, I felt like I was the slightly better team in a close game, A couple of late goals flattered the scoreline it was much closer than the scoreline suggests", but if you look on the rating Unique controlled the match.
Leo had the time to flatter his rival: "I'm looking forward to it, he's a very good manager and has a great team, whoever makes the final deserves it".
Key players for Leo: defenders Luciano Pinto and Kelly Brook, the best defenders on CL, both with avg above 70 and in last 2 matches above 90! It will be a very hard deal to pass these two.
Zooey Deschanel - I think she's the best player on CL this season with an avg of 92 and 96 on the Knockout Stage. I think that only 3 players together can stop her.
Rosie Huntington-Whitele - avg of 89 on CL and 6 goals under her name, 2 of them in the QF, is highly favourite to score more goals.
These are the key players of Unique but Leo can handle also without those three as he got plenty of amazing footballers to play.

No luck as to the league cup and league matches draw before the SF game as Lions of Darkness got toguher opponents in both, with the peak 9 hours before the match as they face Kung-Fu United. Another interesting stat is that it will be the 7th final in the last 10 seasons that an English team will contest.

S.107 CL - Quarter Finals (11/11/2013 14:48)

Here are the results of the ML CL QF:

Champion FC - FC Real Manager 1:4
Even without injured David Silva, Real Manager proved to be too strong for Champion FC. Lionel Messi scored after only 1 minute during a free-kick to put the Romanians in charge right from the start. Shaun Briffa kept Champion alive with a beautiful equaliser from the free-kick, and it looked like they might get the comeback. Franck RIbery silenced the Australian at the 74 minute bringin the lead back to Real Manager. Jarle Takle own goal a minute later showed that the Australians were mentaly broken and to add to their missery, subtitue Robin van Persie scored 1-4 at the 82 minute. Franck Ribery is the man of the match with a goal and 2 assists. Rating over 90 also to Mario Gotze from Real and Shaun Briffa and  Michael Essien from Champion.

CzarneKoszule - Lions of Darkness 2:3
What a match! 90 minutes of healthy football and 3 lead changes and one red card. Lions of Darkness took the lead after 6 minutes thanks to Derek Possee but Iker Blanco equalised a minute later. Redman completed the comeback 11 minutes into the second half making it 2-1 to the Polish, but John Marquis equalised seven minutes later.  At the 67 minutes Sone Aluko was sent off and Alex Rae scored from the resulting free-kick. In 10 players CzarneKoszule couldn't find an answer to this goal. Despite the lose Iker Blanco from CzarneKoszule was the Man of the Match, as he was the only player to pass the 90 rating.

Craiova-Maxima - FratiFrancescani 2:3
The American tried to do the same thing as Lions of Darkness but with 9 players left it is hard to win against a rival of the Q of FF.
Sorin Cartu brought the lead for Craiova after 2 minutes with a header but Alessandro Cosmi equalised nine minutes later. Le Anh Chung completed the comeback for the Italians at the beginning of the second half but Ron Young set the teams level again ten minutes later. From here it all wen downhill for the Americans. Aurica Beldeanu and Adrian Popescu recieved a second yellow card each and were sent off. Jean-Philippe Meunier took advantage of the Craiova lack of defenders and scored the winner 9 minutes from time. Meunier awarded Man of the Match, Cosmi also put a rating above 90.

AKNEO - Unique FC 1:4
The Polish Champions were equal to the all-might English for a total of 30 minutes and then Uniqe reminded us why are they so unique. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley scored first with a header after 11 minutes but Wishmaster equalised a minute later. Huntington-Whiteley, with another great header, gave Unique the lead before half-time. AKNEO put more pressure on Unique in the second half but the English broke them with another header, this time by Mila Kunis 5 minutes from time. AKNEO hearts were broken and Michelle Keegan wrapped it up with another goal before full-time. Zooey Deschanel awarden (Wo)Man of the Match. Perfomance over 90 also to Kelly Brook, Luciano Pinto, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Mila Kunis all from Unique who put a 74 rating.

The Semi-FInals will feature an English derby with Unique FC facing Lions of Darkness.
FratiFrancescani will try to continue their amazing campaign against FC Real Manager.

on 0:00 Server Time, Semi-Finals previews will be published.

Before the matches I will give a preview about what awaits the teams before their mathces:

Champion FC - FC Real Manager

The Romanian Cup holders might be favourite on paper but it's the Australian Champions who got an easier life before the match as they faced West Coast Dinosaurs and won 4-0. Given the Q of the opponents (89.55) it wasn't a surprise that Bullie saved some of his star players.
Real Manager faced a bottom side too but in the Romanian league you can't underestimate any rival. Real Manager defeated Rapid Giulesti away but the lack of depth in his squad cost him as his top midfielder David Silva was badly injured and probably finished the season as his fit is down to 54. This is a great advantage for Champion FC.

Players to watch:

Champion FC
Jarle Takle - Only 25yr, the Norwegian is one of most talented players in ML. He played all the team's matches on CL and he's the main reason why they made it that far! In 8 games he put an incredible perfomance of rating 89! He is the man that can change the outcome.
Michael Essien - Missing only 1 match in CL, the 30yr Ghanaian is giving more in CL then in the league. With a rating of 83 and also 1 goal under his name, Real's defenders will work hard to stop him.
Cameron Riddle - The Australian scoring machine, who grew up at the club's academy, have already scored 6 goals for his team in CL and put a rating of 78. He hopes he can stretch that number further more.

FC Real Manager
Vincent Kompany and Raphaël Varane are great rocks at the back. Both with rating of 68 they will be hard to pass.
Franck Ribéry - a regular lineup player, put an 85 rating perfomance so far and scored 1 goal. I bet this one is a headache for Bullie!
Mario Götze - another dangerous midfielder, with an 82 rating and 3 CL goals on his name, be sure to see him take some shots!
Neymar da Silva and Lionel Messi - the nightmare of every opponent defence. These amazing strikers put an avg rating of 77 and scored 16 goals together only in the CL! I won't be surprised if they will decide the result tomorrow.

CzarneKoszule - Lions of Darkness

The Polish Cup holders are having a wonderful season so far, hadn't lost a single match so far, and they're second in their national league. However  ny1900 had to play his best lineup as his team played against 3rd place WKS Slask (95.55). The rotation in the match was good and the players played beautifuly outpowering their rivals 1-3 with no injuries and very little lose in fitness. ny1990 is sure happy to come to the tough match against the English like this.
Dunclido, manager of Lions of Darkness, didn't took a win in the league for granted. His team played Safranek FC (95.09) and Dunclido sent his best lineup for the job and they emerged winners 2-0 and have a fully fit team for the QF.

Players to watch:

CzarneKoszule
Judge Dredd - The 31yr Georgian keeper is giving one of his best season on CL. He conceded so far only 4 goals, and ny1900 is counting on him to keep the net clean.
Iker Blanco - The talented Spanish is not at his best season but he's still one of the most important players in CzarneKoszule, with an avg perfomance of 78 on CL.
Redman - Scored 6 goals on CL and put a rating of 75, the New-Zealand striker is hungry to score against the English too.

Lions of Darkness
Martyn Woolford - Believe it or not, this is only the third season for the veteran English. Played twice before with Baronie, this is the first time he made it to the Knockout Stage. Played in every match, has a rating of 85 and 1 goal under his name.
Tim Cahill - Grew up in the club, he's a result of wonderful training by Dunclido. Played all but one match on CL, put a rating of 88 and scored 2 goals. He has the ability to change a game.
John Marquis - He's not a goalscorer, but he is a great forward. Have put a rating of 75 in his 6 matches on CL, don't be surprised if he creates a scoring chance for others.

Craiova-Maxima - FratiFrancescani

The American Champions could not rest any player as they faced Brad G Strikers (95.18) eariler winning 2-4 away, keeping them only 1 points from the leaders. No player was injured though and they come to the match with a fit team and a positive momentum.
Things have gone easier for the Italians, as Sastianello gave rest for some of his top player on their match against Novara Calcio (94.09) and won 1-3. FratiFrancescani (FF) come with a fully fit team and a 6-games win strike both on League and CL.

Players to watch:

Craiova-Maxima
Vanco Jordanoski - Ruling out the crazy 4-5 lose to Uniqe on the Group Stage, the 27yr Macedonian keeper conceded only 2 goals. If he continue to show his top form today, it's hard to see how FF can score.
Adrian Popescu and Nicolae Tilihoi - Both defenders grew in BYM FC, both moved to Craiova, both played all of their club matches on CL, both even scored 2 goal this season (on CL). Only their rating is different 67 vs 71 but both very high. FF should worry not only because of their defending skills but also of their scoring.
Dănuţ Bica - With a a rating of 82 and an avg of 1.25 goals in 2 matches, FF defenders will need to watch him closely.
Aurică Beldeanu - One of the symbols of the team, put an avg of 89 on his CL matches and is ready to keep his form and send alone his team to the SF.
Sorin Cartu - scored 10 goals on CL and hungry for more.

Sorry guys, I have a lecture to attend, won't finish the preview before the matches sorry :(

S.107 CL - Round of 16 (09/11/2013 12:57)

The Round of 16 of the CL was held yesterday and here are the results:

FC Ruwenda - CzarneKoszule 0:1
The German Cup holders were better most the match but couldn't find the net.
The game was decided at the 74 minute as Ângelo Sabrosa tripped Alex Song inside the box during CzarneKszule corner, Stanislaw Lenc scored the resulting penalty.

thevikings - FC Real Manager 2:5
The Romanian derby ended with an amazing perfomance by the Cup holders as 3 players hit 99 rating.
Gonzalo Higuain scored for thevikings after 5 minutes before Mario Götze , Neymar da Silva and Lionel Messi closed the game (the last two scored a brace each).
Egil Ekrem tried  to minimize the damage for thevikings.

Dinamo Zaragoza - AKNEO 0:3
The Spanish doublists were no match for the Polish Champions as they were swept aside. Wishmaster ,  Farhad Asghari and Faton Hyseni scored for the winners.

Ziberto FC - Lions of Darkness 0:1
The English were much better than the Vietnamese doublists and they enabled them to shoot only once on target.  Derek Possee scored early for the winners.

Black Pearl - Craiova-Maxima 1:3 AET
It was expected that these teams will give us a great game to watch and so they did as only after 120 minutes a winner was decided.
Craiova-Maxima started it well as Marian Bicu gave them the lead after 12 minutes of play but Dennis Bergkamp equalised at the 28 minute. We had to wait 70 minutes (not including brakes) to see Bicu scores again following a free-kick for the American Champions and Sorin Cârţu assured the win with a well placed header 6 minutes from time.

Kavalacio FC - Champion FC 1:2
The Australian Champions came from behind to down the Greek in a tough fixture. Luis Salvador gave Kavalacio the lead before Cameron Riddle equalised a couple of minutes later, David Granados completed the comeback just before Half-Time.

Unique FC - Real Antoñico CF 2:1 AET
The all-mighty English doublists needed 120 minutes to down this season surprise. Zooey Deschanel scored first just to see his (or her?) teammate Michelle Keegan equalising for the rivals with an own goal, Mila Kunis came off the bench to finish the match with a win.

Death House FC - FratiFrancescani 2:3
The SC holders lost their first CL match this season as they couldn't defeat the Italians even though they were one man more for the last 35 minutes of the match.
Sam Byram continued his good form and gave the Greek the lead after only 4 minutes but Lê Anh Chung equalised 9 minutes later. Chung completed the comeback scoring his second after just 3 minutes, but Serhat Ates wiped the Italians smiles fast as he drew level 5 minutes later. 2-2 after 20 minutes!
Alessandro Cosmi gave FratiFrancescani the lead once more at the 55 minute, but after only one minute Jean-Philippe Meunier recieved a second yellow card and was sent off. FratiFrancescani ,with 10 players, were mostly defending and kept the lead until the end.

The seedings for the QF draw were as follow (I persume it was seeded..):

S.107 CL - Group Stage last round (09/11/2013 12:22)

Here are today CL reports:

The biggest story came from Group 1. DEATH HOUSE did just enough to beat Hotspurs 1-0 and stay perfect with 7/7 wins. Despite Hotspurs lose, third place AKNEO needed a big win against The Busby Babes in order to leap over the English. The Swedes "came to their aid" as Mattzon sent his youth squad against the Polish. The game ended with a thrashing 6-0 to AKNEO, a win that sent them through.
"I am happy that I went through, however it was just a massive amount of luck" said AKNEO manager HektorArte. Hotspurs manager on the other hand was furious: "I would have still went through if not for the Busby Babes but he helped AKNEO goal difference and I have sent him a message saying exactly how I feel, it's a lack of respect for the competition". Mattzon replied: "I fielded a team consisting of mostly reserves because I had no chance to qualify and it goes really bad for me in the league this season, so I have to prioritize in the small choices I have, to be able to influence".
On the question if he thinks that his move affected the final standings, Mattzon answered: "It's clear that this affected the result now when you look at it afterwards and I'm sorry for Spudgregs sake. I did what was best for my team and nothing else. It may seem selfish, but so is the game".

AKNEO will now face DINAMO ZARAGOZA in the next round. The Spaniards made no mistakes and won a deserved 0-2 win in Italy against FratiFrancescani, it was the Italian first lose this campaign. This result left former CL champions KA Barcelona dissapointed as their 0-1 win away against brave Knudde didn't help them to advance.
"I do not know what could be the problem. I always play for my best team, my team average age is perfect, Q is high and I set good tactics", said frustrated Klucsesz, "I'm not favoured by the simulator this season".

In group 6 delight and depression were Blest fans' feelings as they saw their team winning 2-1 over Champion FC, who assured a place in the next stage yesterday, but finishing third after thevikings defeated uninterested Connemara United 1-3.
"[I'm] disappointed, yes, but not much to do with it" said Roggbif, Blest manager, "It went wrong in the first match, my opponent had 1 chance in 90 minutes, which was a penalty, and he won - I did only had 2 chances, but still".
Blest is not the only as none of the Norwegian teams made it through to the Knockout Stage, a shocking stat for one of ML major leagues. However, Roggbif didn't sound surprised: "The Norwegian league is only good in Q, there are only 2-3 good managers with tactical skills here in Norway. The English league, for example, is much better tactically than the Norwegian".

In group 8 Ruwenda gave no chance, outclassing former champions AFC Dzhebel United 0-4 away. The German eventually finished first after Lions of Darkness were held to a 1-1 draw against bottom side IMPARAVEIS. "Well, it's about time I advanced to the KO phase. In the last seasons, I've been close to it a couple of times, both in SC and CL, but have always been a couple of points short. So, yeah, I feel pretty darn good", said Kadiya, Ruwenda delightful manager.
Despite the impressive play, Ruwenda is placed only 6 place on the German League, "for me it is [hard] because I lack depth in my squad. If I had one additional player on every position, my chances of being competitive in the league would be far greater".

The German will come as the underdog tomrrow as they play CzarneKoszule but Kadiya is confident with his team: "Maybe I am a slight underdog, but I am used to being in this position. I was a huge underdog in the match against GR8 Angelz and I managed to beat him. My match with CzarneKoszule will be IMO a coin flip. Both of our teams have almost the same Q, similar stats and morale". About the Polish manager he said: "I've never spoken with him, but judging from his trophy shelf he is a great and well seasoned manager. I definitely have nothing but respect for him".

Here are the full fixtures for the Round of 16:
DEATH HOUSE FC (Greece) - FratiFrancescani (Italy)
Unique FC (England) - Real Antoñico CF (Spain)
kavalacio fc (Greece) - Champion FC (Australia)
zibertoFC (Vietnam) - Lions of Darkness (England)
DINAMO ZARAGOZA (Spain) - AKNEO (Poland)
BLACK PEARL (Romania) - Craiova-Maxima (USA)
thevikings (Romania) - FC Real Manager (Romania)
FC Ruwenda (Germany) - CzarneKoszule (Poland)

The crunch match is undoubtly BLACK-PEARL against Craiove Maxima. But many eyes, or at least mine , will look after one of the most entertaining team in the past seasons: Unique FC.

Their manager, King Leonidas, fancied me with a special interview.
- You finished first with a perfect record. Is playing good on CL affecting your league games?

I'm lucky to have a large squad and an easy CL group so I only had to play a full strength team for a couple of games, as most teams didn't try in my group so I could save fitness for league games, currently I've only dropped 3 points from the games after CL games and that loss was more due to my 2 injuries after my subs had already come on so I was effectively down to 9 players and no GK, that's not to say I wouldn't have lost anyway as I was already behind but it wasn't due to poor fitness as I had good fitness before our game so I don't think it has effected me that much this season, but it can do if you have a tough group and tough games following CL games. Teams with small squads struggle a lot more.

- As in the last 5 seasons, you are the favourite again to win ML. Do you think you have a chance against other 14 team with a Q of 97 and above?

Thanks but I don't consider myself the favorite but definitely capable of winning it again and that is my aim.

- Do you feel any pressure of previous successes?

No pressure, I've been successful so any more success is just a bonus :)
